Ben, Here is a list of widgets out there developed by the community. https://community.esri.com/blogs/myAlaskaGIS/2015/02/20/web-appbuilder-developer-edition-customization-resource-list?et=blo… There is a section for Location widgets. Look there and see if that fits your needs. If you need something else you might want to just request the enhancement on the Location widget geonet page. -Stan

Robert Scheitlin, GISP, I like the Finder app option you mentioned as an option but maybe the new Search tool Search multiple sources | ArcGIS API for JavaScript is a better option to make into a widget. One reason I really like either of these options is so I do not have to have a locator that I would need to build on a regular basis and add it to the geocoder widget. Both of these options look at live data. -Stan

Santa Clara County Planning Office , For item #3: Zoom tool. You can hold down shift and drag a box on the map to zoom in and ctrl + shift and drag a box pon the map to zoom out. I personally really like the scrolling zoom (mouse) and pinch to zoom (mobile). -Stan

Brian O'keefe, You need to add the mailto link to the link section. Something like this: mailto:person@organization.com?Subject=Hello%20again Replace with your email Then go to \arcgis-web-appbuilder-1.0\server\apps\##\config.json and at about line 20 you will find a parameter to set the URL to the link. Remove the http:// Now it should look like: {
"label": "mail",
"url": "mailto:person@organization.com?Subject=Hello%20again"
} To help with the set up of that URL go to Mailto URL Encoder - About Email and it will generate the code needed with the appropriate syntax. Stan

Line Champagne, When you set up the query widget you have the option to create a filter expression. When you do that you can have the expression be a "contains". This acts like a wild card and looks for anything in that search that has the input value as part of the result. I hope this helps. -Stan

Kevin MacLeod, That will be a great addition to the group of widgets. If you want to look at an existing widget that is very similar to what you are explaining then please check out Street View in Popup Widget 1.1.0.1 This basically grabs the lat long and puts it into a url and iframes it to the popup.

Susan Mordy In the Developer Version you have more control of things like that. if you go to the attribute config file for your app: arcgis-web-appbuilder-1.0\server\apps\##\configs\AttributeTable\config_Attribute Table.json then you can change the name there. For the AGOL version I agree with zhongren Gu you need to change the name of the layer in the mxd and then republish.

Karsen, Make sure you follow step 2 and uncheck to show results only from your organization. Here is the page you should be finding: http://www.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=fffd70b754594c54bc58d90d4e897e19 This is a blank esri viewer/template that is pre-compiled. You then need to replace the config file with the steps under "Deploy the app" and you should be good. -Stan

Karsten Rank You would need to follow the instructions here: Download app—Web AppBuilder for ArcGIS | ArcGIS This will allow you to down load and configure the WAB viewer and use your map from AGOL WAB. It is not the developer edition. -Stan
