@LeighErik - If you click Design at the top of the screen, you will see a panel that provides six cover styles for you to choose from. Some of the cover styles crop the media while others do not. I would recommend that you try each of the cover styles to see which is best.   ... View more

I believe the suggestion above is not specific to a map tour in a StoryMap; rather it applies to styling layers in the map viewer. @BrigidaSanchez - If you store your information in a feature layer, you can create a categorized map tour that will let you style each group or category of points with it's own symbol. You can read more about how to do this in Use — or create — a feature service to build a map tour in ArcGIS StoryMaps, and here is an example of a categorized tour: A world of wonders.   ... A very similar "private link" option is already available in ArcGIS StoryMaps. When publishing, share with Everyone but uncheck "Show in web search results." This ensures your StoryMap will not be crawled/indexed by web search engines, so it will be available without a login to those you share the link with, but it will not be discoverable in web search results. When you are ready for the item to be widely shared, republish and re-check this box so the item will be marked for search indexing. The only difference is an item hidden from web searches may appear in ArcGIS Online searches, which are much less common than web searches. Otherwise the behavior of this option is exactly the same as the previous StoryMaps.com "Anyone with link" option. ... View more

@CeliaClifford -- Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. We have tracked the cause to a 3rd party technology used to improve map tour performance. The other benefits it provides are valuable, so we do not plan to remove it to fix this issue that only affects a small subset of map tours. We do have a few workarounds you can consider that will address the issue: This issue only affects the map focused layout of map tour, so you could change the layout one of the others. This issue only presents in map tours that have very little content. In your case, you are only showing titles for all the places in the tour. If you add images to 2 or 3 of the places or even descriptions to a few, the issue would also resolve. Please let me know if you have any further questions. ... View more

@JonathanMcD - I'm not quite sure what you meant by embedding data fields in a story, but if you would like that idea to be considered, I would recommend that you create a separate idea for that and include additional detail about the use case and workflows that you envision. ... View more

@JonathanMcD -- Thanks for sharing this feedback. We are already working on providing the ability to add infographics side-by-side. The experience will be similar to adding charts side-by-side. There were a few other updates we wanted to make to infographics first, and those will be released in a week or so.
