@AnjaReimer0 -- This capability is not currently available from the ArcGIS StoryMaps content page, but you are able to organize your StoryMaps (and other types of items) in your ArcGIS Online/Enterprise content page using folders.

@SCVOSAGIS_Program - We are not able to reproduce the issue that was previously mentioned in this thread. We are also not seeing any similar issues in our other publishing tests. I would recommend that you plase continue to work with Esri Support on this so they can help troubleshoot what might be going on in your situation.

@AmyNewsam - Make sure that you duplicate the slide with the express map and then configure the next view with that duplicated slide. If you make a new express map, the map won't smoothly transition between views. Please let us know if this helps resolve the issue you are seeing.

Hi @JenniferBorlick - You can do this in the publish options. Just uncheck Update ArcGIS item details when publishing and the item details will no longer be overwritten.

There is some documentation about this here. I don't believe there should be any issue with that. Make sure you initially sign in with the account you want to copy FROM first. Common Workflows | ArcGIS Assistant User Guide When copying a story between accounts (even accounts in the same organization), be sure to initiate the copy from the account that owns the story (or is an admin in the organization).

Oh, of course. Sorry, I forgot there was a JN video in that blog. 🙂 I think what you are referring to is simply the normal experience of navigating a live map. This is typical for all online maps as it's not possible to load in information for all areas at once, so the information is loaded on demand. If you wanted to have a smoother transition between specific places, you could create different maps focused on those different areas. That way when you transition from one slide to another you aren't changing the extent of the same map, you are actually loading a new map. I think that might get a similar experience to the one you are after.

@SaraJL - The Crowdsource Story Map template was only ever a beta/experimental template and was deprecated in 2018. It hasn't been updated in many years, so I don't believe the builder is likely to work any more.

@SaraJL - The data from a crowdsource story is stored as a feature layer. Just find the feature layer item that goes with that story, and you can easily use it to directly create a map tour in ArcGIS StoryMaps. The OAuth credentials are there because the Crowdsource Story Map had the ability to track who was contributing to the app. There's no need to delete them, but shouldn't be any harm in it either. When the classic templates are retired, the items related to them will still remain. So there's no danger in using the original feature layer to create a map tour. However, if you want to extract the information into a new feature layer you can do that using the workflow in this blog: Migrate a classic Shortlist to ArcGIS StoryMaps as... - Esri Community.

@RussGreen - Yes, sorry for the delay. We were looking into this. From the information you provided, it looks like you signed up for a trial subscription account. A trial account expires after a period of time and will have limited capabilities if it is not converted to a paid subscription. On the sign up page, you'll want to use the link at the bottom of the page if you want a free public account.

I believe what you are asking for is already possible. We call it map choreography and it is a very popular technique storytellers use when creating StoryMaps. You don't need to choose a transition, rather you use the same map across slides and set a different map view in each slide. When navigating through the sidecar the map smoothly moves to each new view. Take a look at this article and let me know if this is what you are looking to do. It has details about how to use map choreography in your stories and links to several example stories that use this technique. Choreograph your maps with ArcGIS StoryMaps There is also related features called map actions and media actions that you may be interested in: Supercharge your stories with media actions

@RussGreen -- A few more questions that will hopefully help us to get to the bottom of this... What is your user name? Did you establish this free ArcGIS account account by migrating an account from StoryMaps.com? If you go to arcgis.com and sign in with your free account, what URL do you see in the browser address bar? Is it www.arcgis.com or something else like myorganization.maps.arcgis.com?

@KG_427 - Thanks for posting your question. Map tours created from feature services should use the same fonts as the rest of the story (which should be the fonts from your theme). Is your story shared with everyone? If so, could you share a link to it so we can take a look? If not, could you share a screenshot of what you are seeing?

I appreciate others jumping in to help, but unfortunately some incorrect information has been posted above. Publishing StoryMaps and sharing them with everyone is supported by all types of ArcGIS accounts, including public accounts. In some cases, a subscription account may not have this permission if an organization's administrator has placed limits on who can share items. @RussGreen could you clarify what you mean by an "individual account?" Do you have an ArcGIS Personal Use account ($100/yr) or a free ArcGIS public account? Either way, you should be able to publish and share with everyone. Are you able to share the StoryMap item with everyone from your ArcGIS Content page? If so can you do that and share a link to the story here so we can take a look and try to troubleshoot?
