Not at this time. The Story Map Crowdsource is still in early beta and features will be changing rapidly in future updates. We understand the need for a native app solution, especially to support offline contributions and other features only available to native app, and we'll look into the best solution of providing this in the future.

Great, glad you figured it out. Yes, unfortunately the only work around is to make sure you always share you story with an http url so the browser security restrictions don't block the insecure content.

Does "rejecting" them in the builder work? This will remove them from the public story but still allow you to view them in the builder if you choose to show "all" or "rejected" posts.

Thank you for your feedback. We are hoping to bring many of the enhancements, many of which have already been on our enhancement list, in a future version of the Crowdsource. A couple comments and questions: Email notification of a submission to owner Unfortunately we will not be able to add this in the near term. For technical and security reason, we can not provide notifications directly from the app to the user. We are investigating if it is feasible to enhance ArcGIS Online with an messaging system that can work with app templates. Ability to delete submissions Definitely to come. Currently in the builder, you can choose to "reject" a contribution which will hide it in the public version of the app. Ability to hide submissions (make data not readable by anyone) Can you provide more information about how you would like hide to work? Just remove it from the public version? Hide it in the app altogether, even in builder? Hide it in the feature service in ArcGIS online? How would this be different from delete? Have location symbol change color when selected. We are thinking about adding this in one of the next releases.

Andrew, the server your swf file is hosted on does not have a https certificate so you will not be able to use the https url. When you add the swf file make sure to use this url: http://www.nzhistory.net.nz/files/interactive/sinai-map/SinaiCampaignMap.swf. Also, do not copy this url directly from geonet, the copied link gets an extra redirect in it which in not able to be embedded in the map journal. Instead open the URL in a browser, wait for the swf to load, then copy that URL directly from the URL bar. Also, because your server does not have a https certificate, your swf file will not load on many browsers if the Map Journal has been loaded over https. The https connection is a secure connection and many browsers will not allow insecure (http) connection to be embedded within an https app. Anytime you load your story or share the link, be sure the URL you share begins with http and not https. Here's the steps I followed:

Andrew, can you paste a screenshot of how you are adding it? I used the URL you provided and everything worked on my end. Also, one thing to check. Does the URL of your map journal app start with http or https? Because of browser security, you are not able to load embedded content from an insecure http connection if your parent app has been loaded with https. Because the website which hosts the swf file does not have https certificate, you will always need to share you map journal from a http connection.

Sure, it just looks like you have a couple extra paragraph tags wrapping your iframe code that is causing it not to work in the builder. First just Choose the webpage option and paste just the URL (http://www.nzhistory.net.nz/files/interactive/sinai-map/SinaiCampaignMap.swf ) to your swf file and not the full code snippet. Click configure then choose the fill option and continue.

Innisfree, If you share your app/map/layer privately to your organization or a group you can limit who can view the app. By doing this you will also limit who has access to contribute to the map just by who has access to view it. Also, if you have your app hosted on ArcGIS Online and it is privately shared, the app will first redirect to ArcGIS Online login page (or auto log the user in if they are already signed in) which will be their normal login experience. If they have already authenticated to view the app, they will not have to log in before they contribute.

Currently in the beta version the app does search for links in the description and will automatically make them clickable. You can do this in one of two ways: Just type out the full URL: http://www.example.com (gets converted to example.com) Write out the full html a tag if you want the hyperlink text to be different from the URL <a href="http://www.example.com" target="_blank">This is a sample link</a> (gets converted to This is a sample link) This is just a temporary solution while we only have a simple text input. In a future release we plan to give authors the ability to customize the form and input types. One of the input types we plan to add is a rich text editor that includes a link button. Once this is available we will probably remove the auto hyperlinking that we have in the beta and current links will not be clickable.

In the beta version of the Crowdsource app we have only had time to add a simple, preset form. In a future release we will add a form editor that will allow you to add additional fields and different types of data. At this point, you cannot just edit the JSON from the AGO Assistant. You will need to download and customize that app code itself. There are some extensive changes that need to happen including changing the feature service definition, creating new form elements and data validations, and changing how the selected post is displayed.

Maria, Owen's method of increasing the photo settings does work but if you follow it exactly, you will find the app is slower to load because the app needs to load larger photos. Another workaround is to open the AGO Assistant as described but instead of editing the primary photo, add a third photo setting that will upload a new third photo attachment to your feature service that will not be used in the app. The crowdsource app currently resamples all photos uploaded to the app based on these settings. Because resampling photos is computationally intensive, slower computers and smartphones will crash if we attempt to resample a original size photo. Because of this, we initial load all our photos at a maximum resolution of 2000px by 2000px. Because of this, the highest resolution you will be able to get out of the app is with the above settings. If you need a higher quality photo, you will need to download and customize the application code. You can access this photo by going to the feature service item detail page in ArcGIS Online and click the data tab. In the table, you should be able to view all the attachments listed for each feature. Here are some samples of what you'll get: Original Settings http://services3.arcgis.com/dGkWQRTbdsLW3GnN/arcgis/rest/services/largePhotoTest/FeatureServer/0/1/attachments/1 Largest Side: 2000/Quality: 1/Type: PNG http://services3.arcgis.com/dGkWQRTbdsLW3GnN/arcgis/rest/services/largePhotoTest/FeatureServer/0/5/attachments/12

Hi Dikla, I opened both the desktop and mobile version of you app and all the icons appear correctly. Try clearing your browser cache to make sure you're not pull an old version of the code/icons. The legend for the playlist app is only automatically generated for the layers that are not included in the list itself, in your case the basemap. If you would like to include names of icon colors, you can do that in the app config: playlist-storytelling-template-js/index.html.erb at master · Esri/playlist-storytelling-template-js · GitHub. For your share and bookmark icons, on mobile we move those to the header of the app. It looks like when you customized the look and feel of your app, you removed these buttons from the header. You might retrace your steps to see what you took out. I believe the elements your missing are these mobile-controls: playlist-storytelling-template-js/index.html at master · Esri/playlist-storytelling-template-js · GitHub.
