I am opening the MapViewer from the Overview tab in the field maps form to attempt to avoid the custom Field maps form from disappearing. The Classic map viewer does not edit the form. I have tried opening the web map in MapViewer to make changes to symbology etc from My Content and it erases the custom form.

In order to avoid custom Field Map forms disappearing I open the web map from within the web field maps interface to make whatever changes I need (symbology etc.) and save and close. This makes the underlying web map setting uncheck the check box for "Find Locations" (that allows search by attribute)....without me doing anything. In order to fix this I close the Field Maps web interface and open the Web map in MyContent. I check the box for Find Locations (again) and save. This causes my custom field map form to disappear so I close the web map and go back to the form and recreate the custom form. and so on...every time I need to change a web map..... These two events may be independent..I'm not at all sure why these two things keep happening. Does anyone know a way around this? I have related tables so I have to use Classic Map Viewer and I am using ArcGIS Enterprise 10.9 Thanks

Perhaps support services does not have access to the programmer road map? They said "Unfortunately, there is no time frame we as Support Services can give for when a such function will be implemented, however, the New MapViewer suppose to not interrupt any work and if a certain functionality does not exist on the new Map Viewer then the Classic one supposes to be used."

It would be nice, but there is new bug for this. I anted to count the number of field visits at a site from the related table : BUG-000151157 Arcade expression with the function count() hangs and does not calculate an Integer field in the classic map viewer of Portal for ArcGIS 10.9. Escalated Subscribed

This is an enhancement request that is "Low" that someone else created last year: #ENH-000145502 [Enhancement] View related records option is not available in the new Map viewer in the pop-ups when we click on a point / polygon / line feature unlike map viewer classic.

I'm guessing that it is much harder than we think to code? I don't know. It still says not supported 😞 I think it's a critical piece for field operations when you visit the same site over and over again. Unless I go back to having flat tables with visit1, visit2...visit x as fields in which case we may as well go back to excel.

When will "Work Force" functionality be integrated into Field Maps for assigning work? We are trying to decide if we should implement Workforce or wait until it is part of Field Maps. Staff are only just beginning to use field maps and we are using ArcGIS Enterprise 10.9 on Azure. We also need Work Force to use the old classic map viewer or for the new map viewer to support related tables. Is there a road map somewhere? Thanks!
