No, I still can't add WMTS in ArcGIS Enterprise 10.8.1 & 10.9.1 version. I had been adding the WMTS on my ArcGIS Online account and then using ArcGIS Online Assistant to copy the item to my ArcGIS Enterprise. This is the temporary solution for me to get it work.

Thank you for the info, George. Regarding #2, Pro client patches, referring to database client? I don't think ESRI release Log4j security patch for ArcGIS Pro. The patch I was referring to was Log4j security patch for ArcGIS Server.

Question regarding ArcGIS Enterprise Log4j Security Patches For ArcGIS Server Log4j patch, there's a recommendation of "Upgrade a geodatabase, When a hotfix or patch for ArcGIS has been applied, it may also be necessary to upgrade your geodatabase. See the Upgrade the Geodatabase section on the Geodatabase management page for your individual DBMS platform for more information." 1. Is there going to be version compatibility issue if I wait to upgrade the geodatabase later on after install the patch since I have to upgrade my license manager as well? 2. Should I upgrade my geodatabase first prior running the patch or after I apply the patch? I'm currently using ArcGIS Enterprise 10.8.1 and enterprise geodatabase is at 10.6.1.

I'm having the same issue for my ArcGIS Enterprises 10.8.1, I was able to add WMTS a few years ago (maybe prior 10.8.1 version) but not lately. It worked fine on ArcGIS Online and in ArcCatalog. I got the following error when I tried to add WMTS to my Portal, "The WMTS service, https://xxxxxxx/wmts, can't be added to the map. It's either not available or you have entered an invalid URL for the type of layer you want to reference."

Question regarding ArcGIS Pro, "Recent releases of ArcGIS Pro contain Log4j but are not known to be exploitable as the software does not listen for remote traffic." What version is the Log4j on ArcGIS Pro 2.9? I just updated my ArcGIS Pro on my server and checked the file that I have "log4j-1.2.17.jar" version. Could I interpreted as ArcGIS Pro doesn't listen remote traffic, so shouldn't be an issue if I have an older version of log4j? I'm on ArcGIS Enterprise 10.8.1, in place upgrade last October. I have log4j-1.2.17.jar version and someone mentioned 10.8.1 is shipped with log4j-2.x. Wondering if this wasn't updated during the upgrade?

I'm using ArcGIS Enterprise 10.8.1 and did in place upgraded last year. Our Cyber security team generated a list of my servers impacted by the Apache Log4j vulnerability. For example, ArcGIS Server at C:\Program Files\ArcGIS\Server\framework\runtime\zookeeper\lib\log4j-1.2.17.jar. I see someone's post that 10.8.1 ship with 2.x version, wondering why I have 1.2.17 version? Our cyber security team suggested fixed version : 2.15.0. I don't know if I should be downloading version of 2.15.0 to replace the older version in all the files that they scanned on my GIS servers, which impact stand alone ArcGIS Server, federated GIS server, geoevent server, datastore and portal. Or wait till ESRI has more detail for the mitigation? DataStore: C:\Program Files\ArcGIS\DataStore\framework\runtime\elasticsearch_6.4.2\lib\log4j-core-2.11.1.jar GIS Server/Federated Server/ GeoEvent Server: C:\Program Files\ArcGIS\Server\framework\runtime\zookeeper\lib\log4j-1.2.17.jar Portal seems like in the upgrade backup folder only: arcgisportal\upgrade-backup\10.8.0\dsdata\elasticsearch_7.3.0\lib\log4j-core-2.11.1.jar ArcGIS Pro: C:\Program Files\ArcGIS\Pro\java\runtime\spark\jars\log4j-1.2.17.jar

How does that work? Sorry I don't quiet understand what you meant by "must first be requested by a Creator user & Once creators request a download of a given file format, the Sites application can then make the file available for anonymous users to download."

@RobertScheitlin__GISP , Thank you for replied my question. I'm not using Http or https though, it's just a path to a file server (//servername/foldername/filename). I'm using IIS, so I need to create virtual directory for this file server and place that URL in the URL button?

I deployed URL Button with WAB Developer Edition 2.10. I'm using this URL Button to link to a Help Doc PDF located in one of the file servers. It been working fine when I deployed in 2019, using mainly Internet Explorer 11. I just discovered recently that the URL Button wouldn't work in Chrome and the new Edge browser. When I clicked on the button, it's not opening up another page, I had to use F12 to see the issue. This is what I'm getting. I tested URL Button in IE, it's still working fine. I would like to know if anyone has the same issue and/or know how to resolve the issue? Thank you!

I'm also looking for removing Level 1, Viewer users from the ArcGIS Enterprise that are only disabled and/or inactive user account from the Active Directory. I still want to keep active AD users that never launched portal at this moment. I would like to know if there's any script will look for the disable/inactive AD users and then remove the user from the Portal?

I have installed Portal for ArcGIS 10.8.1 Enterprise Site Patch 1 & 2, also the Home application patch. I'm still having issue for download some of the hosted feature data, all shared publicly and with Export/Exact function checked. Download button is available for "Viewer" user, but when I clicked on shapefile or any other option, it wouldn't download. There were a few feature data, I was only able to download the Excel file but not shapefile or any other option. So when I tried as "Creator" user, I didn't have issue like Viewer, I was able to download shapefile, Excel, etc. I'm looking for some helps to resolve the issues I'm having.

I just recently upgraded my Test & Development ArcGIS Enterprise from 10.8 to 10.8.1. I ran into an issue configuring Portal web adaptor in Development environment with "initial administrator account" username and password as I didn't have an issue with Test environment, see attached image. Portal machine and Portal for ArcGIS services were running. So when I access https://portalmachine.domain:7443/arcgis on the portal machine with initial administrator account username and password, I couldn't get in. I could only log in with my own username & password. Contacted ESRI Support and found out that I must have "initial administrator account" as a Creator/Administrator on my Portal in order to configure Portal Web Adaptor. I did remove initial administrator account for Dev & Production environment to free up the name users account for other user as per ESRI documentation, About the initial administrator account, "The initial administrator account user name and password are stored by Portal for ArcGIS. The initial administrator is not an operating system account, and has no relation to the Portal for ArcGIS account. Later, you can specify other accounts as administrators, demote the initial administrator to a role with fewer privileges, or delete the initial administrator if you choose." If initial administrator account is required to configure Portal's web adaptor starting from 10.8.1, should ESRI changes the documentation that initial administrator account should not be deleted? If this is new, why did ESRI changed for the 10.8.1, it's taking a name user account and doesn't make much sense to me.

I noticed my viewers weren't displaying real time feeds this morning. I logged on my GeoEvent Server and noticed the services related to GeoEvent were down (ArcGIS GeoEvent Gateway, ArcGIS GeoEvent Server & ArcGIS Server). I was having issue restarting the services. When I started ArcGIS server services, it shown it's running but when I checked the properties, it shown stopped & under the ArcGIS Server on the left pane, it shown Start the service, please see attached GeoEvent Services.PNG. If I restarted ArcGIS GeoEvent Gateway even though ArcGIS Server service wasn't actually running, but the status of "Running" under ArcGIS Server disappear. ArcGIS GeoEvent Gateway status shown Running & the left pane shown stop & restart service but the properties shown the service is stopped, please see attached GeoEvent Gateway Services.PNG. This happened when I tried to restart these two services. While trying to figure out the issue, I stopped ArcGIS GeoEvent Server services, then I couldn't even get it start it, I had to restart the server in order to be able to restart the services. When I tried to access ArcGIS Server Manager, I got "No services was found." I was troubleshooting on my Production GeoEvent server first (10.6.1 version), then I logged on my Test GeoEvent server (10.8 version), both servers had exactly same issues and happened on the same day. I checked with our network & security team that nothing has been changed yesterday. I was able to get my real time feed yesterday. I followed HowTo: Administratively Reset GeoEvent Server (10.5.x / 10.6.x) on my Test environment and still having the same issue. I'm using Windows Server 2016 Standard for both environment. I would like to know if anyone has the same issue and/or know how to resolve the issue. RJ Sunderman

Sandeep, which basemap were you using with your custom print service? I created print service with credential embedded for my secured map services. I just recently found out that my print service can't work with some of ESRI default basemap URLs in http://services.arcgisonline.com/ArcGIS/rest/services, but work for URLs with https://basemaps.arcgis.com/arcgis/rest/services
