Do you see any other errors in your form in the Properties tab, for specific fields? There is a known issue where we are getting hung up on reserved keywords that we are working on fixing. If the fields are existing in the Feature service (ie published from Pro or another source) we should be ignoring this restriction when the form is saved. Example below:

Hi @KaraUtter2 , I assume you are referring to compass mode in Field Maps where you tap the GPS icon and the map will adjust to your heading? Are featuring being collected when this occurs or is the map just open? Or are they using Location Sharing/Tracking? Thanks

@RossFindlayCOC I tried your link from the original post and I can see the behavior you are talking about. Android is handling this correctly but something is going wrong on iOS. I can look into this more. If you want a way to track this more officially I would suggest logging a bug with tech support.

That is odd, I have not seen that token error before in this context. The issue came when I closed the app. Just to clarify, everything is working when in the foreground? You dont receive any sort of permission prompt (outside of the motion, GPS, notification system prompts)?

@RossFindlayCOC Are you backgrounding the app on iOS or closing it all the way? If the app is completely closed iOS would only restart your location services after it detects a "significant location change" which can be high variable depending on your environment. Once this detection happens, Field Maps would restart in the background and continue monitoring your location (and you should receive geofence notifications when applicable). I would also double check your location permissions under Field Maps in the iOS settings and try setting it to "Always". This shouldnt be impacting it but have you tested removing the URL portion of your workflow - ie browsing directly to the map and seeing if you can repro?

A couple more things you can try, otherwise I would suggest reaching out to support as suggested by others. What is the default Browser on your device (and what device are you using)? Try setting it to another Browser. You can also use the "Skip sign in" option > tap into the settings > triple tap on the word "Profile" at the top > tap the "Sign in" setting > Oauth > change to "In app" > try and sign in again.

Hi @BrianTammi , What is the message you receive when you attempt to sign in, do you have a screenshot? Are you able to use the "skip sign in" button to sign in to the sample account on the device?

Hi @nspittlemeister_LCFPD , this is an interesting suggestion and something the Field Maps team can consider looking into. Its currently not possible to remove this map and toggle from the Maps screen as its appearance tied to the user and their license(s).

Support for the tablet orientation on smaller form factor tablets had to be pulled since my last comment due to unforeseen consequences. It is still in the roadmap for a future release of Field Maps.

Hi @VickyS , This is a known issue that you are running into. The workaround is to clear your browser cache as you have already discovered. There is a Support bug logged for Collector (BUG-000133948) but not for Field Maps although its the same underlying issue. You could call Support and get attached to the existing bug or have them create a new one for Field Maps to track the status. We are still looking into a way around this one.

Hi @kapalczynski , When passing an itemID (to a Web Map) to open in Field Maps you must include a referenceContext to define what the app should do. If you just want to open the specified web map you could use the referenceContext=open to simply open the map. There are examples of this and others options in the doc here. You also appear to be using the legacy custom URL scheme (app://?) vs the universal app link format (https://app ). Support for additional parameters may be limited within Field Maps when using that formatting. If you do switch to the universal scheme you, will need to encode the portion of the link that is within the callback or the callback will not be executed. I hope this helps!

Great! The only downside with this workaround is that you will see an error after the sign out is completed, where it attempts to connect to the portalURL you entered, but this can just be cleared. I thought I recognized the name! I think we plan to have a meetup with your organization to talk tracking either at the UC or before. Let make sure we bring this up as well.

Hi @MeleKoneya , there is no support for signing out via a URL but it is an interesting suggestion that we could consider. Consuming a URL that stops tracking will simply do just that and the user would have to sign out manually following that (where there is a prompt to upload any pending tracks). EDIT: There is a potential workaround actually. If you pass a portalURL to a portal/organization that is not the same one that is currently signed in, or even a fake URL altogether, the app will prompt to you to sign out. Your scenario is not necessarily the intended use of this parameter so I would test this before deploying to your fieldworkers. The URL might look like: https://fieldmaps.arcgis.app/?portalURL=https://fakeportal.esri.com/portal&referenceContext=shareLocation&locationSharingOn=false

Closing the loop here. We deployed a fix for this today which should be available momentarily in the google play store as Field Maps version 23.1.1. If others are running into this issue please ensure you update Field Maps.
