I have some field users who are going to field plot locations that were generated in pro using random point generation. They then want to use an Arrow 100+ external GPS to update the location of the point. If they create a new point all of the GPS fields that were added when the layer was initially created in ArcGIS Online are populated. But when a point is updated, the fields such as accuracy are not updated.
I'm guessing it's because the geometry already exists but surely there is a way to use the Arrow to update the attributes?
Any ideas? For now I'm having them create a new point and then I'll move the attributes over each night after they finish in the field. I'd rather not need to work each night.
Updating an existing point should still populate the GPS metadata field as long as they are using the GPS location to update the point. They should ensure the GPS tool is active when updating the point and that they are not panning/zooming the map beforehand.
For those features that are updated with missing metadata, is the "Position Source Type" field populated and what is the value?
Please also let me know what mobile device is being used and the version of Field Maps. Thanks!
