Hey @DougBrowning , unfortunately this one has stalled out as it is elusive to reproduce in house. Do you have any additional details about your or your field workers general workflow when removing offline areas? Obviously its happening pretty frequently for you so maybe there is something we are missing.  The only way I could fairly consistently get this problem to happen was if I was disconnected, removed the offline area from Field Maps, then force closed the app shortly after. In this case it seems to happen because the app is closed before it can save the info needed to unregister the replica the next time the device gains connectivity. A note on the "expected" behavior from what I know: Replicas are only attempted to be unregistered at the time of removal, and if unsuccessful, on subsequent sign ins when a portal loads.  ... Hi @JacquiMartin , Is this still happening for you? What type of device are you using? Are you saying that the destination/location is changed in Google Maps after starting navigation? Are you staying in Google Maps after starting the navigation? Field Maps should only pass coordinates to Google Maps which would then handle things from there so im curious as to what might be happening.  Regards, Colin ... View more

Hi @MeleKoneya , Thank you for getting back to me. Location Sharing (tracking) will work with the permission set to "While using the app" as long as the app is not force closed (swiped away). The devices location will continued to be monitored whether the app is open in the foreground, placed in the background, or the screen is turned off, as long as Location Sharing is still toggled on. Newer versions of iOS will show that your location is currently being used on the lock screen in the top left corner; shown by the blue shading around the time.  Is it possible the app is being force closed in some cases? The variability of devices and OS versions might make this more difficult to track down.  In short, Location Sharing should work whether you select "While using the app" or navigate to the settings to toggle the permission to "Always" ... Hi @MeleKoneya , Can you outline the workflow your field workers are using when their location becomes "stale"? Are they utilizing Location Sharing or performing data collection? I believe there was an iOS change at some point where they did not expose the option for "Always" when first prompting for permissions. You have to go into the OS app settings and manually set to Always. However, for most flows in Field Maps, the permission level "While using the app" should suffice. Hi @LoryGonzalez , Is the My Tracks map missing or the toggle within the map card? If the map/map card is not there at all it means the user does not have a Tracker license (or Location Sharing user type extension which is replacing the Tracker license). If the toggle is deactivated then there is something wrong with the way the location tracking service is shared with that user. The behavior should be uniform across platforms. Regards, Colin ... The legacy Tracker license and the Location Sharing extension provide the same capability but eventually the Tracker license will be phased out; for now they may live side-by-side in your organization. Eventually any existing Tracker licenses will be transferred over when it goes away completely in a coming release.  ... View more

Hi @ChrisWoods1 , As a general rule, web side enhancements will come to ArcGIS Online 1 release before they make it to Portal (ie you can expect the majority of functionality from the Nov AGOL release in the next Portal release). I believe the functionality you are looking for is contained within the Field Maps web app and not necessarily Map Viewer. Field Maps Web is released alongside the AGOL update. Hi @kapalczynski , One way to accomplish this would be using Bookmarks in the Web Map. Save Bookmarks in the Web Map at the extents you are interested in and then when taking the map offline in Field Maps you can select from the Bookmarks you created to define the offline extent.  You are talking about Feature Search, which is configurable for use in Field Maps through the Web Map settings, however there is no search available in the offline area creation screen.
