You can also use the face index, like ... {0: Red | 1: Green | ... I had a face labeling script somewhere but can't find it atm.

You'll have to do it with CGA. color(R,G,B) (range 0-1) or color("#RRGGBB") (00-FF) You can also make an attribute, which lets you pick a color in the inspector: Define after the CGA version: @Color attr myColor="#FF0000" and then.. color(myColor)

The "Get Map Data" feature could use some python automation functionality, especially when you're tiling your extent to bypass the 4k limitation. (Also, access to World Imagery Clarity because the cloud coverage in the Imagery service is pretty heavy in plenty of locations.)

It's a closed line. Check geometry returns no errors. It seems like Pro (and ArcScene) can't handle almost completely vertical surfaces. Lines with a decent amount of horizontal surface rarely fail to produce a polygon.

I drew a line snapping to points and then tried to convert the resulting closed 3D line into a polygon, but Pro just keeps creating an empty output. Why could that be? The yellow polygon was created using the same line with FME (linebuilder transformer), but obviously Pro being so pro should be able to accomplish this simple task as well, no?

You have to move the node with the move tool instead because being cumbersome is a hard requirement for all Esri software.

So far it has always been the resources message. I don't have a project handy atm, I did make a thread about one instance of the error a while ago however: https://community.esri.com/thread/204816-pro-keeps-throwing-wrong-gpu-resource-errors-how-to-stop-this

I've had plenty of instances of Pro telling me my 8GB GTX 1080's resources were exceeded, while GPU-Z's log showed nothing of that. So don't expect all of your problems to disappear when you pop in a new graphics card - it's Pro being Problematic.

In some old versions of CE I had specific models muck up the whole generation because of texture issues. Try generating sections to see if a single model is the cause. Select half the models, generate, select the other half generate. If either makes CE crash, divide that half again and proceed.

The classic way.. right-click on the layer in the contents pane, Data > Export Features. Once saved you might want to consider splitting the layer by attribute to make the model more manageable. You probably won't need toilet models for your GIS analysis .

As far as I can tell, the Revit files are "loaded" in the same way as DWGs are "loaded": Pro converts the geometry to MP and stores those in a "virtual GDB". So you might be better off saving them to a real GDB once loaded. I had the same experience more or less. Cute example Revit-files load easily, but on a real-life model, warts and all, Pro will spend all day trying to get it in the scene. Don't toss your FME workbenches yet, if ever .

That spaghetti is what I always get from importing OSM streets. I have also never gotten a spline drawn in ArcMap into CE (neither in SHP nor GDB format) without losing the curve. In fact I have never gotten a curve at all unless I densified it beforehand (and so turned it into a collection of straight segments). That aside, street creation is an absolute nightmare in CE, especially if you have even slight terrain elevation to deal with. Look up Infraworks, that's how you properly handle street creation.

You add a reference to a balcony rule in the same bit that references the window generation and use a case to control its generation, like this: attr BalconyEnabled = true

case BalconyEnabled == true: RuleForBalconyCreation
else: NIL
