Alright thanks, that answers the question for the moment, I guess.

As the title says, when loading the layer, the page turns white and becomes unresponsive (throws a browser notification eventually). Here are my processing steps: Data source: 1km² TIF with 1m raster size GP: Manage Tile Cache Recreate all tiles ArcGIS Online scheme Scales 4.7, 2.4; 1.2;0.6 GP: Export Tile Cache As Tile package Scales see above Result: ~1.5mb tpk file, which I upload through the web interface, and create a Tile Layer (hosted). So far everything seems fine, but when I open the layer in the Scene Viewer, the viewer locks up. I can open the layer in the map viewer instantly, however. The steps were taken from Creating and Using Elevation Layers in ArcGIS Online & ArcGIS Pro

So it can't be turned off even if I don't care about performance hits? The layer is a 3D polygon set so it wasn't possible to publish it. It did work after converting it to MP, however.

I'm trying to load a feature service in a 3D Scene, but get the following error: Feature service exceeds max feature limit: 3292/2000. How do I disable or raise the limit? The online help has no hits for "max feature limit" (Portal or Enterprise).

Some operations cannot be processed in parallel because they are linear (e. g. calculating something that requires the result of previous calculations). Others, like updating table values, can be split because they're independent of each other. Some tools have a "parallel processing factor" under the Environment tab. Inputting "100%" will create a process for each of your CPU cores. If you want to specify how many processes you want to spawn regardless of your cores, use a number.

When I copy a *.cga file in CE and open it, every umlaut inside it breaks. For example, "ü" turns into "ü". Copying the file in Windows and opening it with a text editor displays the proper characters, however CE still shows them wrong. I can however copy the file in CE, then manually copy and paste the text from the old file. The encoding is always UTF-8.

You can comp left and right too. comp(f){left: LL | right: RR | front: FF} If it's a more complex building, you can use the polygon indices, like comp(f){0: AA | 1: BB | etc... }

Is there a way to permanently write the symbology into the geometry, since the data format supports color and texture information? Neither exporting nor Layer 3D to Feature Class retains the assigned symbology in the output.

After a small hiatus I picked this up again, and got it to work with the 10.6.1 builder right away. In short, - ran the script described here: Create a domain certificate—ArcGIS Server Administration (Windows) | ArcGIS Enterprise - In IIS, created a self-signed cert and bound it - uploaded the same SPLK I used for testing with 10.6 and it worked. Aside from the first step which should be irrelevant thanks to the second (unless it enabled something in the process), basically the same thing.

Looks like this worked - I figured I'd need the Provision ID but the one already present in the server file was accepted too.

I need to provide PRVC for both server and portal in the Enterprise Builder. For Server, I can find the file here: Manage Existing Provisioning Files > Pick Licence Type ArcGIS Server > Details > Download Provisioning File Unfortunately, there's nothing for Portal there. There's only the usual EPC code under View Authorizations > Level 2 Named Users. There, I have "0 available of 1 total licenses", with an expiration date in 2019. Was the download option a one-time opportunity?

Export can sometimes fail because of attributes, so you can test if they might be the issue. I had a couple of instances where that happened when importing OSM and exporting to GDB, but I couldn't pinpoint the problematic attribute. If that works I'd recommend using Python to create a simple join attribute (derived from an existing one so you can recreate it in the join table), nuke the rest, export and then join the data in ArcMap.
