As far as the datastore goes, I'm going to stick with the query for the sole purpose of future relationships that I may or may not incorporate for spatial purposes. My app is still in it's infantile phase so I'm leaving every door open, so I would suggest trying it any and all ways to find the easiest/best solution for your app.

Will these lines have multiple date ranges? Such as 2006 - 2011, then 2008 - 2010 for the newly added series. I ran into issue trying to align multiple series points with there coinciding dates on the x axis. Something to keep in mind. I would take a look at this demo Dojo: The Definitive Guide » dojox.charting . This demo changes the series manually from a drop down box, and changes them on the fly with a check box. There is also a few bits on adding a legend that allow you to toggle layers on and off if you haven't checked that out yet. I'm still working on the rest myself.

Do you plan to query the year and spring and fall separately? Also, I followed her example as well, but went with a queryTask rather than queryFeatures. Then I access it through the showResults array. //I also query both the feature type, in this case an array, with a date query at the same time. query.where = "NAMELSAD = '" + looper+ "'" + "AND " + "Date > '" + dstart+ "'"; queryTask.execute(query, showResults); Once I get the features returned in the showResults, I can access them (in my case sort them by date) before pushing them into separate arrays, which I suppose you could query again. function showResults (results) { //--------------------------------sort by date so they are addressed in ascending order in the chart. results.features.sort(function(a, b) {return a.attributes.Date - b.attributes.Date;}); for (var j = 1; j < results.features.length; j++) {_covDate = new Date(results.features .attributes.Date); _covDateStr = dojo.date.locale.format(_covDate, {selector: 'date',datePattern: 'MM/yyyy'}); console.log(_covDateStr); banana1.push(_covDateStr ); //--------------------------------push to separate county arrays........................... if (results.features .attributes.NAMELSAD == "Christian County"){ Christian= "Christian County"; CChristian.push(results.features ); CChristianT.push(results.features .attributes.TotalUsage ); }; if (results.features .attributes.NAMELSAD == "Clay County"){ Clay = "Clay County"; CClay.push(results.features ); CClayT.push(results.features .attributes.TotalUsage ); }; Did you get past adding the multiple lines to the graph? That gave me some issues as well that I might be able to help with.

Not yet, at the time we just separated the charts and attribute inspector into two separate functions. This will be something we circle back to when the time comes.

I would try editing all the values in your input, (<input id="location" name="location" value="Under your nose" type="text">) to ones that fit your schema just to ensure it is not the issue. I did notice that your "Name" field had the type set to "email" not sure if that could be a validation issue, but it could be worth double checking.

Keith, I think a relationship query is your answer. It will query your point for existing related records(and in my case display them in an attribute inspector). This is the thread that helped me. Related table in Attribute Inspector

I ran afoul this same issue with my forms, and the issue was with having a manual date field and a space in the value field (or a null value). I changed the date to an auto variable and also set all of my fields to allow Null values. I also noticed that I had a comments field that, during testing, was set to only have 10 characters so inputting a string like "This is where I saw the leprechaun" would throw the same error.

Just to clarify the "final" out come of this project. I ended up using the mergedGeometry rather than the initial array, that way it would just be a single Polyline rather than a series of them. Thanks for all the help Jake and Kelly! var directions = new esri.dijit.Directions({ map: map, geocoderOptions: options },"dir"); directions.startup(); directions.deactivate(); var featureLayerrr = new FeatureLayer("Feature Layer") on(directions, "directions-finish", function(e){ var directions = e.result.routeResults[0].directions; directionFeatures = directions.features; queryyy = new Query("Query Layer"); queryyy.where = "Driver = '" + "t10'"; console.log(queryyy.results); var graphiccc = new Graphic(directions.mergedGeometry, null, null); //Record-Selector-Magiger featureLayerrr.selectFeatures(queryyy, FeatureLayer.SELECTION_NEW, function(results) { //Update the query reults \/ with the geometry \/ results[0].geometry = directions.mergedGeometry; // Update the Layer \/ featureLayerrr.applyEdits(null, results, null); //refresh the layer to make sure the edit was successful featureLayerrr.refresh(); }); console.log(" Fire on everything!"); });

Before I go off spending hours on a possible wrong path I figured I would ask if anyone has ever seen an example of a newly created directions graphic being saved to a feature layer. Thanks
