Why can't I add features to my feature layer and why do they show up in the editor in the opposite colors?

I added two feature layers onto a map app and I am unable to edit them. In addition they show up in the editor displaying in the opposite color than they are on the map. Any ideas? Here is my code, web service and a screen recording of what is happening.

Strangely enough, your Feature Service didn't complete updates even in the default sample. Could this have something to do with your data being versioned?

That made me think to go back and check the .mxd. It turned out to be a rights issue and the points were stacked.
