@Anonymous User this makes sense...however, I tried the workflow you're suggesting and the Delete button in the Fields pane is greyed out as well.   The tooltip on the Delete button says that "To delete fields, you must save pending edits.  However, when I try to save (when the Required Field is over to the right in Fields pane), I get this error. I'm also seeing this issue.  It seems to mostly happen when I navigate away from the FieldMaps Chrome tab and come back after a moderate length of time (greater than 1 minute).  Though I've also had it happen when I haven't left the tab and when I've been actively editing. ... View more

Amanda -     Good idea.  I set another test group up - and still couldn't add them....  I CAN add them to groups without the shared updates, so it's certainly linked to that permission setting.  I guess I'll start a ticket with ESRI and will report back with their thoughts! Katie ... View more

Thank you Amanda!  This did help - and led me to see that I need to create a "Custom Role" for those editor licenses and allow them permission to "Join External Groups".  Although I did that, then assigned those licenses this custom role - I still don't have the ability to add them to this partnered collaboration group.  It may be time for a tech support ticket....      ... Owen,    Thank you so much!  So it sounds like, with photo sizes being equal, there isn’t a significant speed difference for hosted vs linked photos (if I’m understanding you correctly) on desktop?  But there would be a speed increase with mobile for hosted photos as the SM will resize internally, correct?     This project is very photo and video rich story map based in the Okavango Delta and we are trying to be cognizant of the cost of storage in the clients’ account.  Additionally, the audience may be primarily in Africa with slower internet speeds so we want to optimize things on our end, to the extent possible we can.   Even with resized photos and videos, I believe we are around 150-200 MB, which is ~$50/year to host.  Again, thanks for the info that we will weigh the pros/cons of cost - and hopefully I have indeed understood your reply correctly!  Thanks, Katie Blue Water GIS ... Hi @OwenGeo , Thanks for your explanation on this, and it's great to hear that StoryMap collaboration is being discussed.  In the meantime, we did some extensive research on dozens of bug tracking and feedback type tools that could work for StoryMap creators, and I thought I'd share what we came up with here for anyone else having the same issues. We've settled on Zipboard, which though not perfect in every way, seems to be the best option for functionality within the scrolling format of a StoryMap and for pricing options for a small business such as ourselves.  The owner has also been very helpful and responsive in improving the tool to make sure that it works for the specifics of StoryMaps. She has also mentioned that she would be willing to talk with ESRI developers to help tailor and fine-tune the tool to the StoryMap platform, so I'm happy to connect you @OwenGeo if you thought this could be a useful supplementary tool for those looking for an efficient way to gather feedback (we certainly do!)
