JavaScript noob so pardon my ignorance. I'm building a app that is to be mainly used on mobile devices. The issue i am hoping you all can help me with is that when opened the MobilePopup is behind the home, locate, and additional button i have added. Note the navigation buttons are properly behind the the Popup. I'm using the 3,11comnpact API
// set up geolocator
geoLocate = new LocateButton({
map: map
}, "LocateButton");
geoLocate.startup();
//set up geolocator and home buttons
var home = new HomeButton({
map: map
}, "HomeButton");
home.startup();
//info window and info Template
var infoWindow = new PopupMobile(null, DomConstruct.create("div"));
map.setInfoWindow(infoWindow);
var infoWindowTemplate = new InfoTemplate();
infoWindowTemplate.setTitle("<b>${name}</b>");
<style>
html, body, #mapDiv{
padding: 0;
margin: 0;
height: 100%;
}
#LocateButton {
position: absolute;
top: 95px;
left: 20px;
z-index: 50;
}
#HomeButton {
position: absolute;
top: 135px;
left: 20px;
z-index: 50;
}
#nearButton {
position: absolute;
top: 175px;
left: 20px;
height:35px;
width: 35px;
border-radius: 5px;
opacity: 0.75;
z-index: 50;
}
</style>
<body>
<div id="mapDiv">
<div id="HomeButton"></div>
<div id="LocateButton"></div>
<button id="nearButton" data-dojo-type="dijit/form/Button"></button>
</div>
</body>

a simple option would be the change the attributeTable_deleteFeaturesHandler to through a pop up that indicates features can not be deleted and remove the part that actually deletes the record.
private function attributeTable_deleteFeaturesHandler(event:AttributeTableEvent):void
{
const deletes:Array = event.features;
event.featureLayer.applyEdits(null, null, deletes, false,
new AsyncResponder(featureLayer_editsCompleteHandler, featureLayer_faultHandler, { featureLayer: event.featureLayer }));
}
to
private function attributeTable_deleteFeaturesHandler(event:AttributeTableEvent):void
{
Alert.show("Records can not be deleted")
}

Look into the extraction functionality of the image service itself rather than using a service in a service. I suspect that now the imagery is being extracted from the copied data set rather than the image service.

this has been replicated by support and is bug #NIM102559 "The default visibility is always true for all layers of a feature service when consumed in ArcMap via SOAP."

Is there anyway to configure a feature service to not be visible when added to ArcMap? I know that you can make newly added layers visible/invisible in ArcMap under options > General > "make newly added layers visible by default" check box, but i am looking to do this server side. As a note, in the published mxd there is a limited number of layers turned on and as expected the Map service respects this visibility. thanks for the help folks.

The Geostatistical Analyst tools do not honor the Parallel Processing Factor environmental setting. However, some of the Geostatistical tools do honor their own parallel processing factor, see: Parallel processing with multiple CPUs. -Steve Thank you for the info Steve!! OK, so more stuff that does not honor this env. setting.... any info on what actually does honor this setting besides looking up every GP tool?.

Has anyone built a comprehensive list of the tools that honor the Parallel Processing Factor environmental setting? I know some of the interpolation techniques (i think) and the geostatistical analyst tools honor them. just looking for a complete list. --daniel
