I often use WAB to take advantage of the widgets, and have always thought the popup styling seemed really out of date, compared to the rest of the application. It defaults to black background with rather pixelated text that when expanded takes up the whole screen, whether there is 2 attributes or 10. Why not change this styling to match the pop ups in the configurable templates? That popup default style is so much more attractive. Then instead blotting out your whole map when you needed to see all the attributes, it would appear nicely below it. I'm sure I could set up custom styling, but obviously somebody must have noticed this already at Esri, or they wouldn't have changed it for the newer templates.

I've been working steady for about 30 minutes, with no jumping cursor, so your hotfix took care of this. Thanks Graham!

Thanks goodness! I'd hate to think it was just me, and that I was going to have to work this way from now on.

As I am typing, the cursor will pop to the top of the block I'm writing and continue on as if I've deliberately clicked myself into that position. I have to first delete these randomly placed characters, and then click back down into the sentence I was typing to resume my thought. It's not doing it in any of my applications, though, such as Word, or even this post. I have to think it is some bizarre behavior that is occurring just in Hub. I haven't timed this to see how often this is happening, but it seems to be every few minutes. At first I thought I had stuck key or was somehow performing a combination of keystrokes to reposition my cursor. It's happening too frequently to be operator error, though.

This was between 10 and 11 AM CST today. The site appears to be saving, it takes a moment after I click the Save button, which then switches to Saved. When in edit mode, the text I've modified show up, even after exiting completely, even rebooting and clearing the cache. So what Nicholas said, my saved changes aren't being shown outside the edit environment, and not when attempting to view it as a "general public" user. Refreshing my browser now, whatever Esri is working through has fixed it. I can see the changes I've made. Glad I asked. At first I couldn't figure out what in the world I was doing differently today!

It sounds like this might be a periodic problem: I am not able to make changes to my Hub site today. I created my site a few weeks ago, and I've updated it periodically, but today for some reason my changes aren't saving. I'm admin. on our site, and I have cleared the browser history. Specifically I'm updating a block of text, which should be super quick and easy. After I edit and click save, it says it does, but if I look at it in a fresh browser it has reverted to my original. GIS Day 2019 GIS Day is over now and I just wanted my Hub site to reflect that it was in the past because I started sharing this with everyone who couldn't be there that day.

For mapping polygon data, can I not change the symbol for just the classification zero or no data? I would prefer not to have my counties shaded in at all when the value is 0, but I do want them to be accounted for. I want to still label the name of the county, and I still want it to have a popup, with the name of the county and the zero value. I can uncheck the box for "draw feature with out of range or no value", but since I have data, it's just the value zero, the counties still shade I can filter those counties out. They don't shade in with gray, but they don't label, or have popups. If I introduce a second layer of all the counties, then I can see the boundaries, generate labels for each county, but that doesn't work if I want to have popups. I can never get the right combination of symbology, labels, and contents of the popup. What should be really simple, isn't. In Desktop, you can specify a symbol for "no data', but in Maps for Office, that doesn't appear to be an option.

Also Kelly, could you clarify the distinction between Living Atlas content that you're calling curated, versus content that has been labelled as authoritative? Is the curated content created by ESRI, and authoritative coming from non-ESRI sources?

I'm working on a story map - Top 10 Reasons to Get Started with ArcGIS Online, and i"m looking for metrics on numbers of users and amount of content. One of my reasons is "Access to Existing Content". A blog from a couple of years ago cited 1.4 million users across organizational accounts, and 17 million of web maps, apps, feature layers, etc. combined. It was already the single largest repository of geographic information, but I want my metrics to be current. Given the pace this platform has been growing, I know these numbers have to have changed a lot, even in just a couple of years. Any a number of organizational accounts would be good to have too, if that is available.

I have a table of addresses that also includes coordinates. I thought it would be easy to use a coordinate encoder, like you see in many of the other ESRI products to determine a coordinate of a location as I move or click the mouse. I don't see that as an option in Maps for Office, and I think it would be handy. I could have filled in the blanks i had in my table right from my spreadsheet, rather than having to open another product like ArcGIS Online or Desktop to find these out.

I know there are several options for selecting data on your map, with tools to see highlighted or selected rows. In the spreadsheet, I see that can select a single row and go to that location on the map. I would expect to also be able to set a filter on my data, limiting features to a certain category for example, and have my map reflect that filter. It doesn't seem to work that way ,though. This seems pretty basic to me. I've only been looking at this a couple of days, though.

Has this worked for you in past versions? For me, I had to try 3-4 different map projections before I happened on the right one. The source of the data I was using didn't give enough details for what their coordinates were in, they just said NAD 83, State Plane. That's still a long list for every state and I had to try a few before it worked. Before then, my points were in Michigan instead of Missouri.

I was able to display coordinates just yesterday, about 4500 records, and I have version 5.0.1 too, so it's not failing for everyone. I notice your coordinates have a LOT of decimal places. I wonder if its getting hung up on those? Have you tried creating a variation of your columns that has fewer?

I placed a ticket with support and learned this has been logged as a defect: BUG-000123926:Adding data from Microsoft Excel based on counties hangs at one percent and crashes in ArcGIS Maps for Office. This doesn't fix my problem, but it will keep me from attempting the same process steps over and over, and expecting to have different results. I have contacted my account manager in the hopes this can be elevated.
