The issue is that the global data is at too low a resolution (x, y pixel size). Either work with a different data set, or reprocess your data. Reprocessing will not improve data accuracy - this is limited by the source, but you can improve the visual display of the data. Convert your data from raster to point, and then use Interpolation tools (ie: kriging or idw) to create a new raster, but set the cell size to a much smaller value. The interpolation will smooth the transition between the points. You can also set the display of the resulting raster to "bilinear interpolation" to smooth it further. Best Regards, Jim

The -1 value is due to a null value. Check the data and insure that all entries hold a valid value in the field being used to designate the line. Best Regards, Jim

What is your "fixed" goal? To delete the records without points? to add geometry to the records without points, so they can be posted on a map, or something else? Regards, Jim

Symbol rotation IS indeed available in the Basic level license, regardless of the functionality matrix. Basic license is what I am working with, and I have the ability to rotate symbols based on a field. Something else is impacting the rotation of your data. Regards, Jim

symbol rotation based on a field is supported in the basic license. I am uncertain what you mean by "arithmetic" - are you calculating the rotation? This may be the issue. Regards, Jim

Looking at the Census Tract polygon data, and the spreadsheet from USDA, You should perform a join based on attributes using the FIPS column of the Census Tract data, and the CensusTract column of the spreadsheet. At this point, the spreadsheet data is associated with the polygon data, and can be used for symbology or analysis. Best Regards, Jim

I am processing @ 5,000 small tables (Info tables). They are the result of an intersect and summary statistics for each element of a polygon grid. I now wish to get all tabular information into a single table. I am using python with an iterator and Append_Management, but it is slow (about 1 hour per 1,000 tables). Is there a better way to accomplish this? All tables have the same schema, only different number of rows(1 to 12). Regards, Jim

It is possible that there is a problem with the geometry of the polygon layer. Run Data Management Tools >> Features >> Repair Geometry, and see if that eliminates this issue. Best Regards, Jim

Apologies for being vague. Perhaps the screenshot will help - I did not change from RGB. I changed the "Display Background Value" entry only. Regards, Jim

For best results, you should set the extent to clip the rasters as close as possible to the edge of the data, then under the symbology tab for the layer, set the background color (these are RGB) to R = 255 G=255 B=255 and use the color = null (the default). I suggest altering the extent, because it appears there is a black line framing the white border.

No misunderstanding. I wasn't aware you were working with multiple types. Could you cluster by groves? Otherwise, it seems that you will have to divide by hand and visual interpretation. Or am I missing something that allows you to determine tree type / crown radius in an automated fashion? Regards, Jim

Perhaps convert the polygons to raster, with the cellsize set to your normal circle radius. Convert this from raster to points, and you have points inside the polygon representing each tree crown. Best Regards, Jim

You are trying to contour 30m data at 2m intervals. This is a bad idea. You are trying to extract data / information that is not there. That said, you could add a field and calculate the length of each line, and then set a definition query that removes lines below a reasonable length. Regards, Jim
