Hi Aaron Booterbaugh - Ok so the first snippet you shared should work with this other feature service layer (the aquatic treatments used in my first post). As soon as I change to URL and the field name that has a domain set on it. It just returns the number

Aaron Booterbaugh - I switched it to the feature service that is being used for this project, modified the field name and it doesn't seem to work. It does look like maybe the JSON is a bit different because the service in the example uses subtypes. I wonder if this has something to do with the feature layer not being public?

Hi Aaron Booterbaugh Thank you for this information - I believe I have seen a similar snippet before but I was unsure where this should be included so I was unable to get it to work correctly. I'm still a bit of a novice when it comes to JavaScript so it is taking me a bit longer to make sense of the code and wrap my head around it. I am assuming that nothing in this snippet needs to be modified and I keep it as is? With the CodedValueDomain, is this a property of a Feature Layer or is this it's "own thing" like : var feature = new FeatureLayer ();

There are a lot of threads that talk about returning the coded domain values descriptions while using a queryTask but from the few examples I have seen using the 4.x API, I can't get anything to work. My code is below if anyone could help me. I haven't really found any examples along the same lines as to what I am trying to do. //build query task
var queryTask = new QueryTask({
url: "https://services.arcgis.com/uHAHKfH1Z5ye1Oe0/arcgis/rest/services/misin_treatments_aquatic/FeatureServer/0"
});
//build query filter
var query = new Query();
query.returnGeometry = true;
query.outSpatialReference = view.spatialReference; //added for testing
query.outFields = ["*"];
//pass the url parameters.
var urlObject = urlUtils.urlToObject(window.location.href);
if (urlObject.query)
{
if (urlObject.query.id)
{ OID = urlObject.query.id; }
//set query based on the parameters
var treatmentid = "OBJECTID = '" + OID + "'";
query.where = treatmentid;
}
// execute query, place graphic on map and zoom to graphic
queryTask.execute(query).then(function(result){
console.log(result.features);
view.graphics.removeAll();
view.popup.close();
var resultFeatures = result.features;
resultFeatures.map(function(gra){
gra.symbol = sym;
view.graphics.add(gra);
gra.popupTemplate = popupTemplate;
// Provide graphic to a new instance of a Feature widget
const feature = new Feature({
container: "attributes",
graphic: gra,
map: view.map,
spatialReference: view.spatialReference
});
var AOI = result.features;
view.goTo(AOI);
});
});

Does anyone have any new information on this issue? The above method described in Loretta's post by Brandon did not work for me - Editor Tracking fields in hosted feature layer captured my username and todays timestamp instead of retaining the tracking information already in the file geodatabase dataset. We have 5+ feature layers that we host on our server that I am trying to transfer over to AGO but with 1000s of records involved, I do not want to go record by record fixing the editor tracking information.

Hi Lucas Danzinger, thank you for your reply. I switched over to using a 64-bit compiler and the problem ended up being that I did not have it as an environment variable! Thank you for the information and help - I appreciate it.

Hello, I have been having trouble the last few days trying to add the ArcGIS runtime SDK for Qt to a pre-existing project. I have read through the best practices and how to install on windows multiple times but nothing seems to be working. I am new to Qt/QML/etc so I am still learning how everything functions. .pro file #---ESRI Integration ---#
include ("C:\Program Files (x86)\ArcGIS SDKs\Qt100.8\sdk\ideintegration\arcgis_runtime_qml.pri")
QML2_IMPORT_PATH= "C:\Program Files (x86)\ArcGIS SDKs\Qt100.8\sdk\toolkit\Import"
QML2_IMPORT_PATH= "C:\Program Files (x86)\ArcGIS SDKs\Qt100.8\sdk\windows\x64\qml"
QML_IMPORT_PATH+= "C:\Program Files (x86)\ArcGIS SDKs\Qt100.8\sdk\toolkit\Import"
#---End ESRI Integration ---# I have #include <QQmlEngine> added to my .cpp file as well. The import Esri.ArcGISRuntime 100.8 statement in my .qml file does not throw an error but in the application output it says module "Esri.ArcGISRuntime" is not installed. Qt Creator 4.12.4 Based on Qt 5.14.2 (MSVC 2017, 32 bit) Using Desktop Qt 5.14.2 MSVC2017 64bit to build/run (testing on desktop computer) If I use the 32bit to build/run I receive an error LNK1104: cannot open file 'EsriCommonQtd.lib'

Hi Erwin, Thank you for your reply and that information - that is good to know. Like everything else, making the feature layer public would allow everyone, not just logged in users, the ability to enter data, correct? This is something we'd like to avoid, at least for the time being. It is completely custom - Oracle table containing user information with sql scripts.

Is having an ArcGIS account required to use an app created with AppStudio? We have a citizen science project that has been ongoing now for 10+ years. Users register on our website and that login information is also used within the smartphone app we developed a few years ago. We would like to avoid forcing people to create yet another account just to use a new version of our smartphone app considering we have over 26K registered users. Is there a way to integrate the user accounts that have already been created on our website with the login for the quick report app we are creating with AppStudio?

So far, I have not found a solution to this issue, if I do find one I will certainly share. For the time being, I ended up removing the Filter widget and decided to use the Group Filter widget instead.

Does anyone have a solution to this or am I missing something in the settings? When I open the Filter widget and change the dropdown under Expressions to "Display features in the layer that match any of the following expressions" then hit ok - it does not save. I switch to another filter and go back to the one I updated and it reverts back to "Display features in the layer that match all of the following expressions" ? The filters do not work unless all the expressions are filled in.

Hi Peter Klingman, I had not seen this before - thank you! I have up-voted this idea. I had thought about displaying this in a pop-up but I would need this information to also be displayed in the table so it is available to users when they export the data.
