This question is still valid in ArcGIS Enterprise (Pro 3.0.1) Not sure why the edits occurred on the child versions are posted to the parent based on the date the child versions created but not the date the edits occurred in each version Consider the scenario below: Assume that a parent version has 3 children versions ch1, ch2, and ch3 that are created respectively Now, suppose that the same feature is edited by ch3, ch1, ch2 respectively As the “post” is applied, then the parent versions will be edited based on ch1 despite the fact that last time editing has been performed was in ch2 version. This means that parent is modified based on the DATE the versions created but not the DATE the last edit made (regardless on which child version) My understanding is that the parent should take the last edits made regardless the child version this editing is made in

But what are the pros and cons for versioned feature classes with and without “move edits to base” option? Is it accurate to say: Versioned feature classes with “move edits to base” option are more performant but have less functionalities (for example, archiving is not possible here) Versioned feature classes without “move edits to base” option are less performant but have better functionalities (for example, archiving is possible here)

ArcGIS Enterprise (Pro 3.0.1): How to disable the “move edits to base” option that’s set to a particular feature class? For example, in the screenshot below, the versioning is set to be traditional with enabling “move edits to base” option. How the “move edits to base” option can be unchecked that’s already set for a particular feature class?

ArcGIS Enterprise (ArcGIS Pro 3.0.1): A parent and child versions fails to get identical after performing reconcile and post tools, In the screenshot below, a parent (protected) and child (public) versions are shown. The feature #7 is moved in the child version. Then the reconcile and post tools are performed. However, the two versions fail to get identical; the position of feature # 7 in the parent is different from its position in the child. Is this a bug?

ArcGIS Enterprise (ArcGIS Pro 3.0.1): The “reconcile” tool appears not to detect conflicts nor to offer reviewing and resolving them as used to be in ArcMap, I observed that the “reconcile” tool doesn’t detect conflicts and doesn’t offer reviewing and resolving (through drop down options) them as used to be in ArcMap Is this by design?

ArcGIS Pro 3.0.1: Having a functionality to be able to order the sequence of layers in the Content pane while working with “list by data source” mode, It would be great if the Pro is enhanced to be able to order the sequence of layers in the Content pane while working with “list by data source” mode For example, how can I move the “u2.u2 (traditional) – u2@localhost: H” to be above the “u3.u3 (traditional) – u3@localhost: H” as per the screenshot below? It appears that sticking the python file in the "program/script" box doesn’t generate the expected feature class in the destination geodatabase (C:\Z7\Q.gdb) What could be the issue here?

Thank you very much. It works great. I’m wondering if there is a tool that can measure the time consumed in performing the “select by attribute” tool in the model builder. This way we can easily compare between querying in indexed and nonindexed feature classes.

ArcGIS Pro 3.0.1: How to run a python script by Windows “task scheduler”? In the screenshot below, I wanted to run a python script that performs the buffer for a given feature class. I fill the “buffer.py” script in the “add argument” box but couldn’t figure out what to stick in the “Program/scrip” box

This is very helpful. Then the branch versioning comes to resolve the performance issues acknowledged in traditional versions. This suggests that the branch versions “technology” should be much more performant (faster) than the traditional when it comes to editing, searching, and querying. Is this accurate?
