In other words: what I lose if I go for traditional version and publish the feature classes as feature service? This way, editing is still possible either from feature class or feature service.

I scanned the document but couldn’t find an answer to my simple question: why disallowing editing from feature class and making it possible for feature service should be of benefits? With branch versions, disallowing editing at the level of feature class is a limitation

ArcGIS Enterprise (ArcGIS Pro 3.0.1): Versioning window appears to have “tree view” as it is used to be in ArcMap, I observed that the versioning window appears to have “tree view” as it is used to be in ArcMap. “tree view” is a nice way to present versions Is this by design? However, the tree view appears to be available when changing the version

ArcGIS Enterprise (ArcGIS Pro 3.0.1): How to display the user and database name when connecting to a database? It’s great that the user, machine, and database name are displayed as a feature class is added to the Content pane. I’m not sure if this information can be displayed when connecting to a database instead of having “localhost” as a default name for the connection. Having the name to be as “localhost” is confusing and requires all the time manual renaming.

In terms of feature class, the traditional versioning with or without enabling the “move edits to base” option is the same. Edits performed by any user (who has edits privileges) are transferred to parent immediately either way. Can the difference only be felt at the level of SQL database? How?

This question is still valid in Pro 3.0.1. What is the benefit of enabling the “move edits to base” option for versioning? Basically, the advantage of having a version is to avoid editing the production data and thus edits are performed in the version and transferred to the production with the “post” tool when required

For example, in the screenshot below, what is the difference between searching the parcel #73 with and without indexing?
