I do not think that our client will honor the "b." or "r" portion. That should not be an issue. Try the Syntax without the "CREATE VIEW readings_view AS" when trying to create view in ArcGIS as George mentioned. SELECT b.shortname, b.longname, r.timestamp, r.room, r.acmode, r.actemp
FROM #nameofFeatureClass# b, #nameOfTable# r
WHERE b.shortname = r.room

Yes, you can connect to a 10.4.x geodatabase using ArcGIS Desktop 10.7 and copy data into another 10.7 geodatabase. Client and geodatabase compatibility—ArcGIS Help | ArcGIS Desktop If your aim is to upgrade the 10.4 geodatabase, even that is possible from ArcGIS Desktop 10.7 directly. I am not aware which DBMS you are using, but here is a link for SQL Server databases. You similarly have links for other RDBMSs: Upgrade an enterprise geodatabase in SQL Server—Help | ArcGIS Desktop You can upgrade directly from a 10.2.x, 10.3.x, 10.4.x, 10.5.x, 10.6.x, or 10.7 geodatabase if your database is at a supported release.

I guess it has something to do with the type of content. Ideas allow you to Vote, whereas the normal threads don't. You don't need to delete this thread. Just post a new Idea. Mention the link here in Comments and then Close the Thread.

Jamal NUMAN you should submit it as an idea in ArcGIS Ideas instead of posting it here. Others can Vote on that Idea as well.

Not sure which version of ArcGIS you are using, but the below details may help you: Dataset system tables—Help | ArcGIS Desktop Raster datasets and raster catalogs Raster data is spatial data represented in an array of equally sized cells arranged in rows and columns. Raster data is composed of one or more raster bands. When you create or import a raster dataset, a raster column is added to the base table when it is created in the database. Each cell of the raster column contains a reference to a raster stored in a separate raster table. Each raster dataset or raster catalog contains a base table that stores attributes, a raster column, and the footprint (the area) of the raster. Raster images and properties are stored in the following tables: SDE_AUX_<raster_column_ID> SDE_BLK_<raster_column_ID> SDE_BND_<raster_column_ID> SDE_RAS_<raster_column_ID> SDE_VAT_<raster_column_ID>—Optional table to define attributes for raster cell values of a raster dataset. SDE_VAT_<raster_column_ID>_<Object_ID>—Optional tables to define attributes for raster cell values of a raster catalog. Each raster catalog can have several of these tables.

I am not sure completely, but it could be something to do with you NOT being 'on current maintenance". The Downloads page shows a list of software downloads the Esri account is eligible to install, along with installation guides. Maybe Kory Kramer can guide you better..

You can kill the Compress operation and try again... Geodatabase compression—Help | ArcGIS Desktop Compression can be stopped while it is executing because the operation is designed to be transactionally consistent. Therefore, if the operation encounters an error, fails, or abruptly stops, the versioned tables being compressed are still logically correct with respect to any version's representation. One reason you might stop compression is if you run it while users are connected to the geodatabase, then discover the compression is consuming a large amount of system resources. In that case, you might want to stop the operation and run it again when fewer or no users are connected to the geodatabase.
