Thanks for the help Joshua. I had some time to do some testing yesterday. I did try just a left join with the same result (works in SQL Manager fails in pro). I was able to generate another fairly generic error (unable to open table on the attribute table... pretty expected at this point). So I'm getting the feeling that the view is simply just too large for pro to deal with. It's about 70,000 unique parcel geometries. As soon as I take the join out and just do a view of the layer i'm using (CREATE view as select * from table a) as a test it works. However as soon as I add the join back in it fails in pro again (still works perfectly when opening view right out of SQL Manager) Maybe I'm just not familiar enough with pro but is there a way to put a monitor between pro (or maybe its built into pro) and its databases to watch traffic, and requests to try to catch whatever is happening.

Hi Joshua, thanks for the reply. On the SQL end the view is healthy and seems works correctly. Whatever is happening it seems to be happening on the pro side. I can delete the view completely use the "create view" tool in pro and it will either hang up and crash pro or cause the same error. The verbose SQL server logs say the data is provided to pro without a problem. So it seems to be on the pro end.

Any follow up on this one? I've got a view that I've really simplified down as I continue to get this error. Even with the most simple view I can do. Even with this I get the HR Result error. The view is stored in an enterprise gdb on SQL server 2019 if that helps in any way. There is no spaces in any field names. Any ideas? SELECT a.ObjectID, a.ARN,a.SHAPE,b.roll_number FROM tableA as a FULL OUTER JOIN tableB as b ON a.ARN = b.roll_number;

I've got an interesting one I've been trying to figure out, but having no luck. Hopefully someone else can shed some light. I've got a little chunk of code that is watching for a button click on a popup. When it's clicked it fires a function. It works great on a desktop, however I'm finding on mobile devices/tablets i'm getting the Cannot read property'on' of null error. I imagine I'm just missing something in the require, or something silly but it's a bit of a mystery to me at this point. This is the code. It's just the view watching for a click on the "viewDetailsPopupButton", which ,of course ,is embedded in a popup. The error is obviously firing on the "on(dom.byId...)" . I'm just not sure why dom.byID is null? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Any guesses, or help would be very much appreciated!

Just as a follow up. I ended up taking copies of all my projects, symbols ect, uninstalled pro (I didn't bother deleting registry keys or anything fun like that), reinstalled the same version 2.2.3 then updated and it worked perfectly. Not sure of the why but it worked.

Unfortunately only one active portal and that's ArcGIS Online. Kind of a mystery at this point. I feel like just taking all the files i need from 2.3.2 uninstalling, reinstalling, and then dumping the files back may be the easiest solution.

Hi all, I'm attempting to upgrade to Pro 2.3.3 but every time I do I get a "Microsoft Installer failed to Run. Fatal Error during Installation". The logs show a "ERROR MSIInstallProduct failed: error code = 1603". I've never had any issue installing before. I've went through some steps trying to clear this error - Followed this guide - cleared temp files there is now nothing in it - ensured no locks existed (did a reboot then tried an install) - it's not permissions as I'm running as admin Before I completely uninstall 2.3.2, I just wanted to see if any one has experienced this and how they went about solving it.

Hi Robert, thanks for the reply. I've uploaded a very stripped down and simplified version I was testing on to try to isolate the problem. Everything is in one file, no css or really that much Js going on in this version. I've noticed if I use one of the fields that I know has no spaces in it (ThumbnailUrl for example) it works perfectly, but if I set it up to log transaction _type (or any other attribute with a space in it) I get that error. To get the error just open a popup and select view details. Thanks! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- <!DOCTYPE html> <html> <head> <meta charset="utf-8" /> <meta name="viewport" content="initial-scale=1, maximum-scale=1, user-scalable=no" /> <title>ERROR TESTING</title> <style> html, body, #viewDiv { padding: 0; margin: 0; height: 100%; width: 100%; } </style> <link rel="stylesheet" href="https://js.arcgis.com/4.11/esri/themes/light/main.css" /> <script src="https://js.arcgis.com/4.11/"></script> <script> require(["esri/Map", "esri/views/MapView", 'esri/layers/FeatureLayer', 'esri/PopupTemplate'], function(Map, MapView, FeatureLayer, PopupTemplate) { pointLayerUrl = 'https://utility.arcgis.com/usrsvcs/servers/1ef8d2605f5544b79bc34b7b363a7979/rest/services/Development/DEVRealEstateListing/MapServer/0' var popupImage = "<div class ='popupImageContainer'><a href ={ThumbnailURL} target='_blank'><img src={ThumbnailURL} onerror=this.src='rescources/internal/img/NoImage.png' class='popupImage'></a></div>"; var popupText = "<div class ='popupText'>List Price: ${List_Price}<br>Sale Type: {Transaction_Type}<br></div>"; var popupViewDetailsButton = "<button class='button popupButton' id='viewDetailsPopupButton' onclick=console.log('{Transaction_Type}')>ViewDetails</button>"; var popupContent = popupImage + popupText + popupViewDetailsButton; var template = { title: "{FullAddress}", content: popupContent }; var pointLayer = new FeatureLayer({ url: pointLayerUrl, definitionExpression: "1=1", outFields: ['ThumbnailURL', 'List_Price', 'Transaction_Type',], popupTemplate: template }); var map = new Map({ basemap: 'topo', layers: [pointLayer] }); var view = new MapView({ container: "viewDiv", map: map, zoom: 10, center: [-80.599567, 44.399800], }); }); </script> </head> <body> <div id="viewDiv"></div> </body></html>

I've got a popup on a map that when you click a custom button on the popup it passes some parameters to another function for processing. For the purpose of this question though I've simplified the button to just write to the console. These parameters are attributes that come from the layer map. The problem I'm experiencing is some of these attributes have white space in them so I can't pass them into the function without getting an error. I know this is more of a JS problem not really a JS API problem but just seeing if anyone has found a way around this issue before. var popupViewDetailsButton = "<button class='button popupButton' id='viewDetailsPopupButton' onclick=console.log('{Transaction_Type}')>ViewDetails</button>"; For example the transaction type above could be "For Sale" or "For Lease". When it tries to write to the console I get an "Invalid or unexpected token" console.log('For .... where it has stopped after the first space. I've tried something like {Transaction_Type}.replace(' ','_') but that doesn't seem to work either. I can't change the values on the server side, and I've also tried to encode the value again neither have worked. Any guidance or assistance would be greatly appreciated!

This is an absolute must! I have a high number of surveys coming in daily that I am spending a lot of wasted time on editing spelling and grammar mistakes. This would save so much time! I understand that its difficult for someone in the field using a tablet or smart phone to check for spelling on a smaller screen, but having the system spell check for them would be great!

Hi all, I've got a custom web map that has a side table of the features available on the map. When the user hovers on one of the rows in the side table it highlights the related feature (or multiple) on the map. It's following the logic of https://developers.arcgis.com/javascript/latest/sample-code/highlight-point-features/index.html, just modified to fit my use case. My question is there a more efficient way to remove all of the highlights every time than loop through and use highlight.remove(); ex is there a clear all highlights argument or something that I can pass into remove all highlights out of the layer. Just looking for the cleanest way possible. Thanks

Hi Rupert, thanks for the reply. I will bring this information back to the team to discuss in the New Year. I'm not too sure there is a logical way to break up this data set but we will see what comes of the conversations. Thanks for your assistance, have a great holiday season.
