@MizukiKayano2 @SarahSibbett Will this capability work: Between lines of the same parcel types Between lines of different parcel types Between all visible lines, including connection lines We can find and highlight all the lines that are close within tolerance to other lines but do not coincide with the other line. Should this be a GP tool or an interactive tool or both?

@JimP-notUniqueAtAll A 'closed traverse' can only contain one loop of lines (or start from a known locaiton and end in another known location). It cannot contain multiple loops (parcels). About Parcel Report: You can use the geoprocessing tool Export Sequenced Parcel Features to export the lines and points of the selected parcel to a file geodatabase. Then you can create a layout pointing to that exported data, which will refresh everytime you select another parcel and export again. The layout can contain a 'Dynamic table' element that would list the point and/or lines and the attributes you want to expose. You can see this pattern in the title map video recording: https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-parcel-fabric-videos/parcel-fabric-2torial-create-a-title-map-from/m-p/1302311 Would that work?

@AliciaTompkins thank you for your prompt reply. With ArcGIS Pro 3.6 COGO Reader will remember the last used feature template. If you save your project it will save the last used template (same as traverse). If you have multiple parcels in one deed, and you were to set your feature template to 'simultaneous conveyance' for 'parcel 1' - would you expect the feature template to also change to 'simultaneous conveyance' for 'parcel 2'? If you want to share the project with another person, one way I can think of is to have 2 editing maps - each editor will work in their map, which will save their last used feature template. If you are using ArcGIS Enterprise, I would also look into using the relatively new 'portal projects'. Thanks, Amir

Courses with partial dimensions will be displayed in the grid without COGO values. This will be an indication that COGO extraction failed.

@SamMontoia1 @JamesMoy @ScottSweet2 @HeatherWidlund This "idea" became a technical support bug case 🙂 If the OCR works well but COGO Reader fails, please contact technical support and supply: The deed Where it failed Any tips, if you have any, on how you made it to work The goal is, of course, for COGO Reader to succeed without spending time modifying the extracted text. After all, the whole point is to save time. Ideas are for software enhancements: improvement of the current capabilities or new capabilities. Our goal is to support all the common permutations of deeds, in all US states. We do not discriminate easements or administrative boundaries. They are all 'parcels' for us.

@JimP-notUniqueAtAll So if I understand correctly, your goal is to produce a traverse text file for each parcel in a group of parcels - is that correct? And if so, why do you need a traverse text file? Wouldn't it be nicer to have a 'parcel report' that is better formatted with the list of lines, their COGO values, COGO area, and parcel name?

Hello @JimP-notUniqueAtAll You write "If I want to cogo more than one adjoining parcel at a time" - why don't you set the starting point (POB) on the adjoining parcel common boundary and close the traverse at the other end of the common boundary? Is it because you are trying to produce a traverse text file for each parcel? Could you please clarify the workflow you are trying to acheive?

@AliciaTompkins The drop-down is part of the feature template control. A layer can contain multiple feature templates. Would it help if we persist the last used feature template? ArcGIS Pro will 'remeber' the last used feature template so you don't have to select it each time. Would that work?

All you need to know about parcel fabric records: What is a record? Does a record have a geometry? Why? When does the geometry get updated? When does the geometry not get updated? Can I extend the records' attributes? Can I assign a domain to the record type? How to automate record creation? Can I delete records? Where can I manage my records? Can I change the name of the records feature class?

@MichaelVolz All geometries in a geodatabase are 'active geometries'. Build Active will create polygons from a closed loop of lines and a parcel seed that are associated with the active record. The resulting polygon should match the input source data - meaning that you should not get any topology errors if you were to validate topology. Did you already submit a case for tech support? If not - please do. If yes - please provide the case number. From your screenshot, it is hard to tell: - The zoom level (a display artifact) - If the input geometries are valid (GP Check Geometry can help with that) - The nature of the error (those layers look like publication layers and not editing layers) - The version of software you are using (Pro and Server) Thanks, Amir

@MohamedIsmael FWIW (For What It's Worth) If you use the parcel fabric, every parcels has a 'Stated Area' field and a 'Stated Area Unit' field. When you merge parcels together: The areas are summed taking into account the different area units of the source parcels. The result will be reflected using the default area units of the project. you can see the summed area in the merge pane before pressing merge. The merged parcels become historic (they are not deleted) Q. Can a 'parcel' be used for buildings or units within a building? A. Yes - many customers use the parcel fabric to model their condominium units, which is a type of conveyance division. We call those 'strata parcels' and can make them 'floor aware'. The Merge workflow is documented: https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/data/parcel-editing/mergeparcelsworkflow.htm

@AyanPalit the versioning workflow shown in the video uses Branch versioning. You can use tasks to automate both types of versioning.
