> I tested this workflow in 2.7 and as Amir said Cool. I guess I'll just have to wait until 2.7 comes out to start actually working in it. Thank yall both!

I'm in the middle of re-learning how to do my core job again in Pro and while it's been okay-sailing so far, when I get to aligning parcels drawn from metes and bounds descriptions the connection line doesn't line up. Is this expected behavior or am I doing something wrong? My workflow is as follows: Create new record with deed recording number Select "Traverse" from the tools menu Enter metes and bounds on the traverse grid Tap Create Seeds On the Record Menu, I choose select features in active record . I open Align Parcels and add new links for all my lines and parcels Tap "Align" and everything looks okay except for the connection lines. Attached are screenshots that are sequentially numbered. Please help, I've been looking through the documentation and videos but it looks like no one involved with this has worked an example using a point of commencement to a point of beginning.

I've come across this before and I don't have a good solution other than to redraw the parcel from the original metes and bounds/survey/plat. It might be that the parcel wasn't drawn correctly before it was imported into a parcel fabric.

oh man, maybe there's a historical or adjacent parcel causing an error? idk i've had bizarre errors happen when i have a historical/adjacent parcel with mistakes in them from legacy parcels. maybe also restart arcmap? i was using 10.7.1 for a while but rolled back because of some of the bugs. thinking about just skipping from 10.6 to 10.8.

that's really strange. if it was me, i'd check my original document for any other data available to enter the curve (like the chord bearing/distance) just in case your delta has a typo.

you can also look at the plan table as you would any kind of table in arcmap! just open up your fabric and it's the table labelled "plans". you'll have to tell it to show you all the fields again, as far as i can recall, but it'll at least show you the name of the plan.

the plans correspond to a table in the parcel fabric where you can store record information. i use it to store subdivision and plat recording numbers, dates, notes about surveys, bizarre problems, just helpful information for the future. if you're not the only person working on your parcel fabric, it could have been changed that way. if the parcels were imported from another parcel fabric, it might have retained the old PlanID that doesn't correspond to anything on your table. like i maintain a "scratch" fabric to sketch out subdivisions and surveys. it's a stop-gap solution to help me really visualize where everything goes without affecting my production data. i'll import those parcels using the save as XML/append file options in the parcel editor menu. if that's a workflow that ya'll use it could have easily occurred there.
