Hi Esri, It would be great to have the ability to create a new feature layer without having to navigate out of the web map. Many times we're working on a project and need to create a new feature layer and our current workflow is to navigate away from the web map> go to the content tab > create> feature layer> then set up the feature layer schema in the item details page. A suggestion to streamline this somewhat cumbersome workflow would be to have a way to create these feature layer while the user is in the web map. Ideally under the web map 'add' dropdown there would be an new option for 'create new feature layer' which would then prompt a wizard interface to create the schema. Just an idea to make everyone's workflows a bit quicker! Thanks, Amanda

James Akisanmi, Update- After speaking with the Ops Dashboard team, there is a partial workaround for this issue. If you would like your data to update dynamically within the dashboard you can set up a refresh interval on a Feature Layer via item details> visualization> refresh interval setting under layer> save visualization. As for tables I believe the same can be done under the item details> settings> Cache Control settings> save (this workflow has not been confirmed yet though). That being said if you would like your dashboard elements to be updated (after administrative changes such as moved elements) the user will need to manually refresh the page. I agree the workaround explained above is not intuitive and is fairly cumbersome and the Ops Dashboard team does need to create a more intuitive workaround, but I hope this helps your workflow in the meantime as it has helped mine. Best, Amanda

Hi ArcGIS Pro Team, We recently noticed an equivalency issue between ArcMap and ArcGIS pro. When a file path is stored within the data ArcMap's Identify tool presents a lightning icon to open the file on that device. In ArcGIS Pro this option is not available and presents no option for the user to open this file. Please see image below. Please add the option to directly open file paths in ArcGIS Pro. Thank you! ArcMap ArcGIS Pro

Hi James Tedrick, I apologize for my delay! Here's an overview of our workflow. We publish a Enterprise SDE referenced service to Portal then use a distributed collaboration group which is set up using the "Send & Receive" option (Feature layers and views in our portal are sent as References (always)). . The data then is available in AGOL for consumption in maps and apps. When logging into AGOL via S123 and accessing the data that has been collaborated. The data is shown in the list but when we go to create a survey off of it we see the above error message. As David Runneals mentioned, manually registering a service in AGOL is a decent workaround for now but defeats the purpose of distributed collaboration.

I'm so sorry to hear, that's very frustrating. Hopefully this gets updated sooner than later. ArcGIS Pro have you seen this issue yet? Best, Amanda

When S123 results are shared as view only (viewers can only see the results of the survey) and a user type is a 'Viewer' they do not have the ability to export data in the provided data tab. This is a nonsensical error since users are simply exporting a CSV by direct download and data/items are not being created. Please revise the privileges for exporting data on "View Only" survey results. Thank you, Amanda

Hi Todd Thompson, Sorry for not updating this sooner. When we initially applied this z-value when publishing, the issue did not persist. Strangely enough, after a few days the issue came up again. I since opened a ticket with Esri (Case #02383984 ) and is sounds as though this has been logged as a bug previously (BUG-000122481). The analyst provided me two workarounds, one being the above workflow that I mentioned (which doesn't work, and we debunked) and the second was to publish from ArcMap (instead of ArcGIS Pro). We tested publishing from ArcMap and have not seen any issues thus far. Would this be a suitable workaround for you and your organization? Unfortunately for our organization this workaround requires us to re-publish data that has already been published by past versions of ArcGIS Pro (since ArcMap cannot overwrite this data) consequentially resulting in duplicate publications. Please escalate the bug if you also are running into this issue. Best, Amanda

I figure I'll just keep contributing to this thread. I recently noticed when uploading a video 49.7 MB video file I receive the error "Images must be smaller than 20 MB" but when uploading a 36.2 MB video file I receive no errors (still larger than the 20MB error message) and the video is added successfully. This is a head scratcher. A few suggestions would be: Improve the error message to the correct size limit and change the error message from 'image' to 'video' Increase the file upload size for videos (since most videos can be fairly large) or allow hot-linking from a third-party video hosting website. Thanks!

Hi Owen, Thanks for the speedy reply! The ability to have embedded content span the page (similar to the current photo settings) You can do this one already by hovering over the embed and choosing a size from the toolbar. 🙂 Am I missing something? I only see two options for embedding as a card or as an interactive embed (see image below). I was hoping for an menu similar to images where there are options for float, small, 1200px, and 2000px. Have the ability to add a small photo below the float image text. Can you provide a little more information about this one? What would you use this for? Can you share a quick sketch of what this would look like or where the small photo would go? Absolutely, here's what I was thinking When uploading a portrait oriented photo the application automatically rotates it to landscape regardless of default orientation. Can you share the image you are using? I'm not able to see this using the portrait images I'm testing. Here's a link to the raw image: https://trpd.maps.arcgis.com/sharing/rest/content/items/d13ecad290d34503a3d935e42cf4b2aa/data I've noticed this behavior with most portrait images, not just this one. Here's what it looks like in the story map on my end vs what it should look like: Thanks again! -Amanda

As I continue to work with my current story map I have a few more requests/issues that I thought I would add: Request: Float image with right alignment (not just left always). Have the ability to add a small photo below the float image text. Drop caps in paragraphs. The ability to have embedded content span the page (similar to the current photo settings) The ability to edit an Embed URL versus fully delete it. Issues: When uploading a portrait oriented photo the application automatically rotates it to landscape regardless of default orientation. When selecting text, the selection always seems a bit finicky and you need to stop your mouse directly over the last letter otherwise it de-selects the text. As always, thanks so much for all you do!

Hi Scott Rutzmoser and Nathaniel Roth, Our organization also had this issue where the service threw this error in Collector v19.1.0 but not in Collector Classic. After much troubleshooting we seemed to find a resolution: Try publishing from ArcGIS Pro and check the option under configuration "Apply default to features with z-values", this seemed to do the trick (even though Z values were not enabled on the SQL Enterprise GDB feature class). I don't know why this was the fix, but maybe someone on the Collector for ArcGIS team could explain? Good luck and hope this is the fix for both of you as well! Best, Amanda
