Is it possible to create a SQL View of a feature layer that is essentially an "on the fly" dissolve? I have a polygon layer of fire response districts in which many small polygons are all the responsibility of a single station. Rather than creating a derivative layer (which I then have to maintain) by dissolving on the "station" attribute, it would be great to have a view of this layer in which each unique "station" value has only a single multi-part polygon. I'm not sure whether this is something that can be done with a view... Thanks.

Okay, this was very odd. As mentioned, every time I updated the symbology in the Dispatcher map it kept reverting to the old symbology the next time I looked at it (I know that sounds impossible...or at least improbable). Finally, by changing the Assignments to a different attribute in Classic Map Viewer, saving that, THEN changing the symbology back to Status I was able to customize and save the symbology I wanted. Not sure why this was acting up, but all good for now.

While the FeatureSet code suggested by @DominicRobergeIADOT looks promising, I couldn't make it work for me. Instead I created a SQL view that somewhat creatively uses a calculated field "fakeDate" to push all the data into a single arbitrary year (1,000 AD to avoid potential confusion with any "real" datetime) and pushed the COVID New Cases for each year into separate attribute fields. I published this view in a service and using this approach I can show the different years as series on a single chart and "fakeDate" as the Category axis. SQL View table: Dashboard Serial Chart: SQL View definition is shown below: SELECT ROW_NUMBER() OVER(ORDER BY reportdt ASC) AS OBJECTID, reportdt, NewCases AS NewCases2020, null AS NewCases2021, DATEADD(year, -1020, reportdt) AS fakeDate FROM COVID_CASESTABLE WHERE (reportdt BETWEEN '2019-12-31' AND '2021-01-01') UNION ALL SELECT ROW_NUMBER() OVER(ORDER BY reportdt ASC) AS OBJECTID, reportdt, null AS NewCases2020, NewCases AS NewCases2021, DATEADD(year, -1021, reportdt) AS fakeDate FROM COVID_CASESTABLE WHERE (reportdt BETWEEN '2020-12-31'AND '2022-01-01') This might get a bit cumbersome if we end up tracking COVID for 10 years, but in the meantime this was a quick, relatively simple workaround, if admittedly involving a bit of smoke and mirrors...

I migrated a project to the "new" version of Workforce and now I seem unable to update the symbology for the Assignments. In the old version of Workforce I was able to open the Dispatcher Map and update the symbols used to show Assignment Status using an image to be more intuitive for the end user. Screen shot shows my old symbology, which worked fine in the old version. In the new, migrated version of the Workforce project I can Open the webmap in Classic Viewer and update the symbology to match this. After I save the map and exit, the next time I go into the map, the "generic, out of the box" symbology is back. Why are my symbology changes not sticking?

I'd like control over the x-axis in a Serial Chart where I have a Date field as the Category. The chart wants to only display the range of dates for which I have data. I'd like to be able to start the chart at Jan 1 and end it at Dec 30th, regardless of whether I have data values for that entire span of time. I can control the min and max for the Value axis, but not the Category axis. Any way to make this happen in Dashboard Serial Charts?

Adding a new Upcoming Events card did not change the behavior. Clicking on an event still opens a new tab. This behavior seems to be persistent across Initiatives.

When I click on an Event in the "Upcoming Events Card" on my HUB initiative, the Event opens in a new page. The pre-configured Event "item" (for which I appear to have limited editing capability) contains a link to the original HUB site - when I click this link now I have TWO TABS open to the same HUB initiative. 1) Can I prevent the Event from opening in a new tab? (Force it to open in the same tab.) OR 2) Can I edit the Event item to remove the link back to the main HUB intitiative?

I have a multi-year COVID dataset (# new cases per day). Currently this is displayed as a traditional time series, incrementing on the x-axis by day (see attachment TraditionalTimeSeries.JPG). I've been asked to now show this dataset in a way that allows the user to see potential seasonality, by having the x-axis as months and days (BUT NO YEAR) and the y-axis as the # New Cases per Day, regardless of year. In this way, the chart would show the number of new cases on each calendar day "superimposed" for both 2020 and 2021. I've attached a fairly ugly mock up of the concept (Seasonality.png). Any ideas on how I might accomplish this in Dashboard?

Thanks for the screen shot Kevin; I was able to put your in-line style code in the Footer's custom HTML area. However, I don't see any resultant change in stretching behavior in the Gallery: Is there another step to this method?

Doug, I was trying to stick with the web version of the survey designer, which doesn't give you that level of control. The Rating question type in particular looks great when created with the web version, but you are stuck with the field format of String. If you try to later edit that with Connect in order to change the field format to an Integer, the display of the question becomes less pleasing. "Rating" question from web designer: Appearance of same question after editing esribindtype to integer with Connect: Connect doesn't seem to handle the "Rating" question type in quite the same way as the online designer... So, under time pressure, I've just accepted that this is the way these questions have to look in order to get them to have an integer field type.

I've designed a Survey123 form with the online design form. I used the "Rating" widget to allow the user to rate an item from 1-5 stars. The resulting data is formatted as STRING, even though it only contains integer values. I'd like to display an AVERAGE rating value from this survey on a dashboard, but with the rating field formatted as STRING that isn't possible. Can I somehow re-cast this field as an integer (maybe in a view?) so that Dashboard can get an average from it?

I would love to be able to do this; the default stretched cards are awful looking. Can you post a screen shot of where you "created a class on the Gallery card called StopStretch"? I do not see where the box is to add a custom style tag. Thanks.

Yes, Yes. It is sometimes advantageous to manage documents in Sharepoint, rather than uploading to AGOL/Hub. Allowing external links in Gallery Cards would be a great help with this.
