Hi Fawna, Line and polygon labelling are not supported yet. You can add a label to a drawing placemark/point in ArcGIS Earth with the Draw tool. Thanks, Mandy

Hi Axel, Local raster data, elevation image services, and tile packages with LERC tile format can be added as terrain surfaces. Also, you might need to check if your raster data is added to the Terrain tab, instead of the Table of contents. Thanks, Mandy

Thanks for your feedback! The capability of editing KML layers is already in the plan and will be included in the future release for sure. As for the interactive line of sight and viewshed tools, input of the animation path currently allows drawing lines only, the use of other data types as the input is under consideration. Thanks, Mandy

Hi Tim, I tried some georeferenced raster tile from ArcGIS Online on the latest ArcGIS Earth 1.8 release, they displayed well. Which release version of ArcGIS Earth are you working on? Or is your layer in custom tile scheme? There might be some issues on displaying tile layers on the previous releases (before V1.7). If none of above work for you, could you possibly send the service to us in order to further investigate the problem? Thanks, Mandy

Hi Chris, The application behaviour described in the first paragraph sounds like a bug to me, I will double check and to confirm. The intension of the isDefaultKmlViewer parameter is to offer users the option to associate KML/KMZ files at install time, and was introduced on ArcGIS Earth 1.5. Allowing users to be able to would strength the configuration workflow as you mentioned. Will revisit and evalute relavant docs in our backlog for sure. Thank you for your feedback and input on this. Thanks, Xiaou

Hi Stephaine, Support to display shapefile label is in the product backlog. Regarding CSV/TXT file, a workaround for displaying label is to: (1) Select the filed for 'Title' in the Pop-up panel of CSV layer properties. (2) Save CSV file as KMZ file by right-clicking in TOC and select Save as... (3) Add the saved KMZ file and then you will be able to display the filed you just configured. Thanks, Mandy

Hi Chris, ArcGIS Earth enables administrator to use a configuration file and apply admin settings to all users in an organization. But it also supports non-admin users to pre-define the application behaviors through this config file. If you install ArcGIS Earth as an administrator (all-users install), then the configuration file is by default in the C:\Program Files\ArcGIS\Earth\bin folder. If you install ArcGIS Earth as a user (per-user install), then the configuration file is by default in the C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Programs\ArcGIS\Earth\bin folder. So in either way, you are able to find the config file and edit application parameters as needed. Hope this helps, Mandy

Hi Dirk, The support for point cloud scene layer is planned for future releases in 2018 Q4 or 2019 Q1. The 3D measure capability (Measure the direct, vertical, and horizontal Euclidean distances between two points) is coming along with the 1.8 release very soon. Thanks, Mandy

Hi Joe, Thanks for asking! ArcGIS Earth 1.8 is planned to release by the end of the August. A bunch of new features and enhancements are added in this upcoming 1.8 release including interactive 3D analysis tools, bookmarks, and web scene support, etc. There will not be a 1.7.1 version. In the meantime, ArcGIS Earth Android (Alpha), the mobile earth is going to release very soon as well! ArcGIS Earth Android brings 2D and 3D content to the mobile platform, and help you tell a story in the scene. It is an Alpha program, you can download it from Early Adopter or Google Play Store once it comes out. Stay tuned. Thanks, Mandy

Thanks for your feedback. Currently the save as KMZ file workflow includes: - Custom icon set to a placemark is saved to the "res" subfolder when "Save as..." to the KMZ file. - Local file added in a drawing placemark pop-up is saved to "files" subfolder when "Save as..." to the KMZ file. - Image url is saved in the "doc.kml" when "Save as..." to the KMZ file. Use the above panel to insert the images and it should work. Will come up with a more complete workflow for KML editing in the future release.

Hi, I believe layer visibility control inside a folder is already supported. Right click on My Data and choose Add group allows you to manage (trun on/off, collapse/expand all, etc.) the layers inside this sub-folder. Please have a try with ArcGIS Earth 1.7 Beta, application responsiveness and rendering performance are both improved, expecially for KML layer, and will continuously been working on for future releases. ArcGIS Earth extendability workflow is also on the road map, stay tunned. Best, Mandy

Hi Ralph, The unavailable basemap behaviour sounds like you are starting Earth with WGS84 spatial reference system on one machine, while the default AGOL basemap are in Web Mercator. ArcGIS Earth checks spatial reference conflict when it starts. In this case, you can still add the Web Mercator basemap layers manually from the Add button on the toolbar, or you can change to Web Mercator from the Application Settings and then restart Earth. Either way you should be able to get those standard Esri basemaps back to work.
