All, i have seen discussions here and there about this similar issue, but i wanted to ask it again... we are seeing this following error in both 10.2.2 environments as well as our newer 10.5.1 environments: ExecuteError: Data access failure, layer = Image, error string = Could not access data for layer or table Image during drawing§TilesWorker: Data access failure, layer = Image, error string = Could not access data for layer or table Image during drawing§TilesWorker: Data access failure, layer = Image, error string = Could not access data for layer or table Image during drawing we see this when using our python scripts to update our map services. we have two maps: one with just vector data and one with vector and raster data. our scripts get through the vector only map just fine but when its time to update the map with the raster data we get the above error. it seems like a fairly straight forward error...well kind of. it would appear to be a data access issue, but the odd thing is we haven't changed the data or where its located or the permissions of said location. so i'm a bit perplexed on this issue, and any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks a bunch! dave

though the ArcGIS Monitor seems like a great new tool that could prove to be very useful, i dont think its useful for everyone. for someone like myself and our sysadmin folk it will probably be a useful tool to have. but when our clients want to see how the servers are behaving, i dont think it really translates well to those individuals to really see and comprehend what is going on with the server. just my two cents, thats why i think a "dashboard" approach would be extremely beneficial. dave

We are actually experiencing this in 10.4.1 we can export the data out of our sql (v2012) db into a gdb and create the locator from that as the source with suggestions enabled. If we try to create the locator directly from the sql db without the suggestions enabled, everything works fine and the locator is created. However, if we enable suggestions the creation of the locator fails. dave

All, this question will certainly show my lack of knowledge when it comes to dashboards... I envision having a dashboard that I could use to monitor the real-time performance of my Esri Server and the requests that are being made to the server throughout the day. I'm not sure if its possible, but would love to be able to see the real-time info of how many requests are being made, what service is getting requested the most, avg response time, etc. Our services are map services and locators, I'm not sure if this is possible either but to have a map within the dashboard showing geocoded positions that were requested. has anyone attempted this, or is this even possible? thanks a bunch!

All im attempting to create a composite locator via python in a 10.5.1 environment and get the following error message: ExecuteError: Failed to execute. Parameters are not valid. ERROR 000039: Not enough reference data tables for this style. Failed to execute (CreateAddressLocator). Im creating the composite from a group of single field locators that are made from shapefiles. I have a 5 locators being made and then merged into the composite, lets call them A-E. Locator E is the one that continues to cause the error. If i take "E" out of the equation the process runs fun and im able to create my composite locator. So it appears the process and code are fine, im not exactly sure what to be looking at with the shapefile that would clue me in on what is causing the error. There dont seem to be any major components of the shapefile missing. any and all help would be greatly appreciated. thanks Dave

sorry for the delay in response... you were right! we went in and looked at those json files and noticed that they were out of since with the min/max levels. so we adjusted our python scripts to actually define those levels and we now have all layers! thanks for the help. dave

All, i have heard some equate the FedGIS Conference to a "mini international users conference", and i was wondering if those that have attended both would agree with that? we cant always send our employees the the UC in san diego so it would be nice if the above statement were true as the FedGIS Conference is a more affordable option. Also, do none govt employees find this conference usefule? thanks Dave

yes the REST shows all levels, and yes, we can move the slider which then allows all levels to be accessed. we are automating the process (manually moving sliders is not an option), which has worked for a very long time and now all of a sudden were having problems. back to my original question...Are the following UIs within arcmap intended to be a true representation of what is published to server: which files would fall under "service configuration files on disk"? thanks dave

We have published a service that all levels have a cache (0-19) for some reason, that dialog window is only showing us that there are levels (7-17) available. this is also the case with the "manage map server cache tiles" tool dialog. im not sure why we have levels 0-19 cached but everything with ESRI is telling us we only have levels 7-17. thanks dave

All Once you publish a service to your arcgis server and you right click it within the catalog window in arcmap... there is an option called "Service Properties" - please see the screenshots attached. I was wondering if this is a "live" reflection of the settings of the service that is published to server? If so, there is a huge disconnect between what is actually been cached and what this UI is tell the user is cached and available. thanks Dave

All i was wondering what people were using if anything to monitor their AGOL services? i know that there is some built in functionality with the health dashboard and signing up for RSS notifications but i was hoping for more. I saw that Vestra has an AGOL monitoring service, i downloaded the free version and im not happy with it all at this point (basically because it doesnt work at all right now). thanks Dave

All i have started noticing a very peculiar behavior when overwriting existing services from ArcMAP, please see below: Manually publish map and build cache for layers 0-4 = SUCCESS Manually overwrite map service, keep existing cache enabled = SUCCESS Manually overwrite map service, keep existing cache disabled = FAILURE, ERROR: 001369, fails at 10min Stop arcgis server Start arcgis server Delete Service NOTE: this is the only way to remove Service as it is stuck in an administrative process that never finishes. NOTE: once Service was deleted, 1 zombie arcsoc remained for Service (this was probably the rogue administrative process) Manually publish map and build cache for layers 0-4 = SUCCESS Manually overwrite map service, keep existing cache enabled = SUCCESS Manually overwrite map service, keep existing cache disabled = FAILURE, ERROR: 001369, fails at 10min this behavior is seeing repeatedly within 10.5.1 and im not sure if other have seen this as well or if ESRI is aware of this behavior? I would assume not since there are no patches for 10.5.X that would address this. Dave
