Thank you for that. We resolved this issue by also applying the GIS Server license (not image server only).

We have deployed several ArcGIS Server 10.8.1 sites in the last couple of days. All of these sites do not have sample world cities. Was this default service removed from the install/setup recently? It's a useful service for helping provide baseline performance and monitoring between multiple server sites.

Problem resolved. It was a data issue with the params we used in the data conversion / exporter utility.

Still hitting the same error. Using your example, is this what you would expect to see in /My_sceneContenet.i3srest?

Thanks @GarimaTiwari Manually registering the data store item with Portal and Server removes the initial steps. When publishing we still hit error 99999. The server logs have the following: Delegate job failed. ERROR: info file in extracted cache not found. Failed to execute (Publish Datasets In Data Stores). ERROR: info file in extracted cache not found. Unable to access scene layer file. I am not confident in the service_conf. "type": "SceneServer", "serviceName": "service name", "properties": { "pathInCachedStore" : " / root S3 directory / ", "cacheStoreId": cache_store_id, Thoughts?

This workflow would only succeed if you have registered the cloudstore using ArcGIS Enterprise Portal App. This 100% could be the cause. I'll run through the workflow again today and get back with the results.

Referencing this blog https://www.esri.com/arcgis-blog/products/arcgis-enterprise/3d-gis/publishing-large-scene-layers-in-a-snap/. Is there an example python workflow or GUI based workflow for publishing the large scene layers with data in S3 in the i3sREST format? I have successfully published using this python script & workflow for data that was converted and exported to a NAS. I have not had the same luck with S3 - I receive an error 99999 when attempting to publish the service in the last step of the script. I encounter no issues with registering the S3 bucket as a cloudstore in ArcGIS Server. I also noticed that the code specifically grabs the server ID from the hosting server however the comments note that the server can just be a federated server. Is that true?

We are experiencing slow increases in memory usage on our ArcGIS Monitor VM. Once it reaches ~75% memory usage the paging file usage for that VM also slowly begins to increase as well. If this is left unattended the Monitor instance becomes unstable, crashes and requires a reboot. Once restarted the application stack restores correctly and behaves normally. The resolution to it is to ensure we reboot the Monitor VM every fortnight or so. It is highly likely this issue is due to my infrastructure environment and/or custom extensions we are calling from the app. Has anyone else encountered similar issues?

In a web map, when you add a hosted feature layer or a map service the following icons appear (on mouse hover) under their content pane entry: Legend Attribute table Change style Filter Cluster (hosted only) Analysis An image service only has: Legend Table Filter It would be beneficial to the user experience if this was standardised somewhat - or at least be configurable. We had a user request for "image display" to pop up by default so that it is highlighted to end users as a capability.

Our understanding was that the process consuming CPU is converting the spatial type of the data being queried from ArcGIS Datastore to what is received by the browser/client. This is why the issue is only seen for large, complex geometry datasets.

ArcSoc Optimizer is a great extension that has an obvious use case and role within a large-scale GIS deployment. Before I implement ArcSoc Optimizer for our 10.7.1 Enterprise & Monitor environments, I wanted to confirm whether this is planned to be available in Monitor 10.8.1? More broadly, are there other options available for auto-scaling services planned within the core product?

Are there any options available for configuring "operational hours" with regards to email notifications or Monitor in general? We have standard alerts in place for our GISs and these behave as we would like during business hours. However, outside of business hours the infrastructure teams may perform maintenance or outages. These processes cause a significant amount of alerts due to known causes (e.g. network hardware maintenance). Ideally we could set Monitor to only report on issues from 6am to 6pm.

Investigating and programatically handling administrative changes to a GIS can be an awkward process. If administrative changes were able to trigger a webhook then this could be plugged into a logging mechanism or change management process. In the same way that /item/ can trigger a webhook, /portaladmin/ should as well. The end goal of such a webhook would be the ability to write all administrative changes to a file. This record can then be used for diagnostic purposes in the event that a major outage occurs. Current mechanisms would require parsing through web server and application logs.
