Jake, We have a hosted tile layer (State Plane coordinate system) and I don't even see the 'enable offline option' for it. I am trying this in March 2016 after the leap day AGOL update. Any suggestions!!

Loren - Check/Turn on the "Share the Esri default configurable apps to this group when you click Save." right below the Configurable Apps setting and save your settings. You should see the esri default maps. Subu

Loren, I am muddling through this myself. The group that you put the template in has to be selected in the AGOL organization settings->Map->Configurable Apps. Only then it will show up as a template...Then you can access it in My Content->Create->App->Using a template and you will see all the templates in that group available for you to select from. esri tech support finally figured that out after getting lost following their own documentation. Yes you have to register it. Still figuring out whether local server or DMZ server. Local server works within the network, even works off my workstation. I am still trying to figure what my super-users can edit in the template to create their own apps....Hope that helps. Good luck,

The inability to cascade services since ArcGIS Server 10.1 is a big problem that esri needs to address. DIfferent resources might have different authoritative sources and so the ability to combine such services with your own datasets to create combo services is very important to many esri customers. Darko, What you need to create is a cache directory common and registered as so in all your servers that want to share the image service cache. I know the service name has to be same across services so that cache is recognized as the right one across all 3 servers. You might have match folder structure too across the services. If you choose the option of create cache manually in the service properties, the service will detect the cache as long as the cache properties match. Mosaic datasets should be the underlying data storage mechanism for image services. Hope that helps. Subu

Hello Robert I am using 1.5.1 version with WAB 1.1. I realized that I am unable to delete sublayers from a dynamic layer(map service) added in the LocalLayer widget configuration. Is my observation correct? or is it a bug that got fixed in a later release? Nothing happens when I click the delete button? The reason I am trying to do this is that I am getting very slow performance. The same map service works much faster when accessed through the enhanced search widget. Thanks Subu

Kristian, The timezone related field do move about on save and I am using them successfully on a map service. Have not tested in a feature service though. If you do have problems with edits failing on a feature service, try to get contact folks in the esri Feature services team through tech support maybe. They are the ones who created this functionality. Subu

Chris, It must be somewhere in there. It is all Javascript, HTML and CSS.Try using Online JavaScript beautifier or one of the many plugins listed on the same website in your favorite IDE/browser. esri needs to document the inner workings/architecture of WAB developer edition clearly for customers to have increased productivity. I am not sure why this thread is marked as answered. There is no clear answer to the original question. @craygo got close to the answer. But not for changing the listening ports for installing WAB as a windows service. Thanks Subu

In fact, changing the port number on startup.bat has no effect on where node is listening if you install as a windows service. The server.js file is grabbing the base port from somewhere else - .......................................................................... var basePort = app.get('port'); var httpPort, httpsPort; if (basePort === '80') { httpPort = '80'; httpsPort = '443'; } else { httpPort = parseInt(basePort, 10) + 1; httpsPort = parseInt(basePort, 10) + 2; .......................................................................................... Let me know if I am way off base. Thanks Subu

Junshan - Thanks for the response. But I still need to know where to change the port numbers for the second and third port used by WAB. Startup.bat only controls the first port -3344. I need to change 3345 and 3346 to something else so that I can have two WAB versions/services running at the same time. I am running into errors like the screenshot below. Thanks Subu

Hello Junshan, My goal is to run multliple versions of WAB on the same machine - each WAB version should run as its own windows service. I am hoping that you can clarify or elaborate the instructions on this page below so that I can get that right. Get started—Web AppBuilder for ArcGIS (Developer Edition) | ArcGIS for Developers So for example. 1. Where do I change the port numbers so that all three ports used by WAB are different for each WAB version? 2. Does each WAB version need a different service name to install a separate windows service? If so, where would I change or customize that? Thanks Subu

Robert, Big picture: As we have more versions of WAB, more custom widgets and other customizations, I think most developers will end up supporting WAB applications in different WAB versions or different combinations of WAB + custom widget versions. Also bugs and bug fixes(from both esri and community), I think it is really useful to be able to fire up multiple versions of same development platform/code base for troubleshooting. I do it wherever possible - like with java applications + String tool suite or erdas versions in remote sensing or Having multiple machines to run old versions of ArcGIS desktop. There are so many variables in the javascript development world. I think it is essential to be able to run multiple WAB developer editions on the same machine to find out why some functionality is working or not working. If you can help figure out what I am missing in the instructions as far as changing the ports that (WAB + Node) runs on to make multiple versions of WAB run simultaneously, that will be great and possibly help others too. Thanks Subu
