Hi Jim, Thanks for the suggestion. It works great with a local layer, but when I try to do it with the same layer as a feature service in Portal I get this. Any suggestions? Bob

Our upcoming deer disease surveillance entails collecting data on harvest location by asking the hunter to touch the map location in Explorer, which in turns launches the Survey123 form and populates the location information. For a single form, the custom popup with hyperlink works well (e.g., arcgis-survey123://?itemID=63f11951f709483cb229c26ba44c1249&field:permit_area={DPA}&field:town={Township}&field:range={Rang}&field:section={Sect}). The catch is that we have separate forms for our northern and southern surveillance areas, and I would like the touch to launch and pre-populate the form specific to the area of interest. I populated a field with the URL specific to the area of interest, then created a popup that was just this field. This approach successfully launches the correct form, but does not pass the parameters of interest. Am I missing something or is passing parameters not possible using this approach? Thanks. Bob

Thanks for this update. The scanner functionality is something that has plagued us. We will be deploying 100 tablets in early November. Do you expect any more releases prior to that? I ask because I expect to have to go into each tablet and uncheck all the scan code types except the one we are using. Bob

Yes please! It is quite clunky and a significant hurdle for teaching non-GIS folks to do very basic tasks, like tagging a "done" field for records that have been downloaded and post-processed.

Lance Cole I did try the code you suggested with ${section}, but was still getting error messages. I did not know section was reserved, hence the unexplained squirreliness. Your suggestion to use something else worked. Thanks!

Sounds like the Select option is the wrong approach, but if so, I’m not sure why a specific value works. (I did try it Section as a string format.) Here is what I am trying to do: “If there is a legitimate value for Section, then the location resolution ($) is “TRS”; otherwise it is “DPA”.

Hi Doug, Thanks for the response. It is straight data entry, or a feed from Explorer for ArcGIS. See below. If the user enters a value for Section, then I want to calculate the field of interest (hidden) with Township ($). If Section is missing, I want to populate the field of interest with DPA. All are of type Integer. Does that help any? Bob

Greetings, I am trying calculating a field based on an If statement: if(selected(${section},'>=1'),${town},${permit_area}). However, this does not appear to be working because it always produces the false response (${permit_area}). If I do this: if(selected(${section},'1'),${town},${permit_area}) and set ${section} to 1, it produces the true response (${town}. I'm assuming it's a syntax error in the former and I've tried everything I can think of. I do not get error messages with either of these approaches. The evaluation attribute (${section}) is integer. I have tried it with the field I am trying to calculate defined as string and with no definition. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Bob

Is it possible to do this? When I test them in the web map in my Portal account, they use just enough real estate to display the contents. When I test them on the mobile device, they take up almost half of the screen, but most of the window in empty. See images. Controlling window position would be nice also, but not as important. Thanks.

Correction: I prefer the former, rather that the latter approach.

I am launching a form and passing the location coordinates to a read-only geopoint via Explorer for ArcGIS. When I pass the value directly to the attribute (e.g., arcgis-survey123://?itemID=***&field:harvest_loc={get_coords}), it takes it to the correct location on the map, but after a few seconds the location shifts to that of the location service (currently app-studio? - I'm working on a laptop). However, if I pass the coords to a separate attribute, then use them in the calculate field for the geopoint, the position is correct and does not change. I prefer the latter approach because it is cleaner, but I did not see a way to turn off the location service. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.
