Did you ever get an answer on this? I have numerous DeBug logs that mention this?

Hi Jonathan, That is what I suspected. My ArcGIS Server is on another machine from the Web Adaptor. I created new CSR's and I will import them into ArcGIS Server machine

both certificates have the web adaptor machine name. I need a matching certificate for the ArcGIS Server machine with the ArcGIS Server machine name. I guess. My organization is creating there own root and intermediate certificates and the certs were only created for the web tier and not the server and portal machines.

I’m having same issue “Exception: hostname in certificate didn't match”. I have my ArcGIS Server federated. The server name is https://ArcGISServerMachineName.domain.com:6443 . The Server URL is the web adaptor https://webadaptorname.domain.com/arcgis . The Admin URL is https://ArcGISServerMachineName.domain.com:6443 . Do I remove the web adaptor name or do I give the server the web adaptor name? Not sure which way to go.

Hi Kory, (SOLVED: 3rd Party Add-In was causing the crashing, Thanks Kory Kramer for investigating this issue for me). I do submit my crash reports. The crash report popup is very stable and reliable (sarc). Space Time Cube: I'm dealing with 5 geographic areas, 1 million records (+/-), and 2 hour time segments (12 segments). I can get the cubes created with some effort and thought. I can't display the data citywide. I have to display by borough. I need to submit a ticket. I'm crashing 5 - 10 times a day. I can't blame ESRI completely. My network is not solid and the OS image could be an issue as well. Workstation design: However, ArcGIS Pro doesn't distribute processing load on multi-core CPU's. If you are buying a box for GIS a really fantastic single core chip will work better than all these multi core chips. Take Care, JB

My organization bought some nice workstations for our data scientists, mostly to run R and Stata. The GIS Unit got lumped in with the purchase and the machines are nice but they aren't optimal for ArcGIS Pro. I have a 3.0 CPU with 24 cores that ArcGIS Pro can't distribute processes across. I also have 128GB RAM and can't get the ram to be utilized either. If your getting a computer for ArcGIS Pro I would recommend a single core Intel chip with as much GHz as possible. The machine also has a sick AMD FirePro W5100 graphics card. With all this, I can still create space time cubes for NYC that Pro can't handle. All this hardware is great but Pro can't distribute the processes evenly. I've mentioned it in more detail here: ArcGIS Pro Please use my RAM and CPU.

Hi Dan, I can't even begin to explain how relieved I am to read your post. ArcGIS Pro has made me question my ability to perform GIS! ArcGIS Pro 2.1.2 has been a crashfest for me! (SOLVED: 3rd Party Add-In was causing the crashing, Thanks Kory Kramer for investigating this issue for me).I think one of the add-ins may be making it vulnerable. I also work in a network that is constantly trying to kick me off the internet. The licensing structure would be great if I was on my home Wi-Fi but in a highly secure environment this is problematic. I'm constantly trying to hop out to fetch the license "Unable to establish connection to https://organization.arcgis.com". I know, I know...I could change the license but that puts the work on the end user! Don't get me started about Printing! Printing from layout to a large format plotter is a disaster! I have wasted more plotter paper than I care to mention. I am meticulous in my printing and when it prints I'm missing the margins by three to four inches! OR the map prints from the middle out, cuts at one half and then prints the other! Geez Louise! I can't take this stuff. ArcGIS Pro's primary role is to publish data to Portal the "realm of webgis". It makes me feel like all the other desktop needs were overlooked. I'll keep swimming upstream. Thank you for your feedback.

I'm trying to do the same thing using a time enabled raster mosaic dataset. Please let me know how it worked out for you. 3d arcgispro@https://community.esri.com/community/gis/3d?sr=search&searchId=1a5de613-55ab-4764-a90a-9c12ce7faf18&searchIndex=1

Have you ever set up a geoprocessing task and expect it to run and it doesn't? Hitting Run and Apply (symbology changes) is a real nuisance for new users. I'm kinda shocked how slow adoption is.

Sounds like you are performing this on the DB software side. Is this correct? I have never seen truncate tools in ArcGIS Desktop. Are you using Python to do this work? Thanks for the reply!

Hello, I'm currently working in a medium sized organization with many map needs. We do very little versioning because we are more consumers and viewers of data than creators. Also, our base layers are established and don't move much. When updating data we get from other agencies (Building Footprints, Street Centerlines, etc.) we prefer to overwrite the existing enterprise feature classes. Unfortunately, this usually can't happen because ArcGIS Server services are running off of these enterprise feature classes. I've read many GeoNet posts and searched on several sites but I couldn't pinpoint a solution. I'd like to hear from the community and see how others deal with schema locks.

I'd be interested in seeing the help files. Do you have a link you could share? Parallel Processing depends on the geoprocessing tool. It really is a tool by tool decision as some tools can't utilize parallel processing. You may have to use a 100% but your CPU will still have to allocate resources to the Operating System. Hence, you can't use 100% of the CPU. Good Discussion. I'd like to start a list of tools that can use Parallel Processing. Please let me know what geoprocessing tools you have used.
