You are correct Jeff - I would disagree with the tech support analysts viewpoint and Lindsay Thomas is going to follow up with support. Steve - expect a follow up from Esri Support Services. This summer we developed a tool to help users resolve the shape.area issue that crops up when users deploy the maps and apps in different RDBMS's. We will be shipping this tool in our Winter release, but Allison Muise can provide it to you prior. Sorry for the confusion.

Greg - I think you could still use Xray to set the spatial reference in this case because Excel is only needed to modify the schema. Just follow the process in the help and you should be ok. In addition, you could also use the Batch Project tool but it will be a bit challenging moving the entire information model to your spatial reference using that tool. It might work best for a subset of the information model. Hope this helps. Scott

Unfortunately, no you can not use Xray without MS Excel. You can import the XML workspace document directly in ArcCatalog and make schema changes with ArcCatalog if you do not have access to MS Excel. You'll also have to use Batch Project to ensure the schema is aligned with your spatial reference.

Have you tried importing the schema in to a file geodatabase and then copying the features to your SQL Server DB?

Val - Is your question focused on the Parcel Viewer web application template contained in ArcGIS Online? Or, are you talking about the Tax Parcel Viewer for 10.2 found on the solution site? Both have been deployed by many local governments and I'd like to understand the challenges you are having more fully. Are you trying to get this app running on a local web server with your parcel data? Assume you've review the help documentation and published the services required for the app. Thanks for the additional details. Scott

Wanted to make sure you saw this blog post we authored last fall. It has a link to several technical articles that will help you update the Election Polling Places app. If you continue to have trouble with the 10.1 version of the app, you could download the latest 10.2 version of the app and wire it up to your 10.1 services. This may help you resolve the issues you're having. Scott

Joe - The 10.1 Address Editing Map has the feature templates defined already. Are you using the editing map provided in the download? This map document includes the feature templates and will leverage the construction tools contained in the Add-ins. We did make some changes at 10.2 to the information model but the 10.1 workflows are very similar. Both versions rely on a MasterStreetName table, the feature templates and the underlying information model. I would also suggest you watch this video if you haven't already. Let us know if you need further help. Scott

Yes, unfortunately this error is caused by the Federal Shutdown. We are working on a KB article to help users address this issue during the shutdown. If you'd like further in, please contact Esri Support Services.

Tiffany - The current portfolio of ArcGIS for Local Government apps support configurable locators (your own locator) but have not been tested with a set of locally authored routing services. Have you tested your application with the ArcGIS Online routing service that was included in the app? If so, are routes properly calculated? It appears you are trying to configure the Park Finder app with your own routing service. If so, you may need to dig deeper in to the code base and change the code to accommodate such. Scott
