Could you post a screenshot of your popup (as viewed in AGOL)? This might give a clue as to why its not showing in the map viewer. What happens in map viewer when you select a feature - does the side panel open yet remain empty?

Specifically regarding the baseFontSize property - this is now fixed and available in Beta 4. Be sure to download the latest AppStudio for Desktop from AppStudio for ArcGIS to try it out.

Hi Paul I poked around the teams here and seems that indeed this property is missing from geodatabaseFeatureTable component. Ive created work items to deal with it, but I'm very happy to hear you found a workaround to keep moving for now. Regard, Marika

AppStudio for ArcGIS (Beta 4) is now publicly available, directly from the product site. Go to http://appstudio.arcgis.com to and sign in with a Named User account to create an app from a template, directly on the web, or, download AppStudio for ArcGIS Desktop Edition. To make your life a bit easier we created a handful of video-tutorials: Configuring a Map Tour app Configuring a Map Viewer app Configuring a Quick Report app Some of you got stuck trying to understand how to publish your own apps into the Google Play and Apple app stores. So we also created new videos describing the process: Publishing apps to Apple App Store Publishing apps to Google Play Changes in beta 4 include: AppStudio is now built upon Qt 5.5. Qt 5.5 introduces new functionality that many users have been waiting for including improved and new modules of 3D, Charts, GUI, Network, Multimedia, WebView and Bluetooth. For a full list of new features in Qt 5.5 see https://wiki.qt.io/New_Features_in_Qt_5.5. Qt Creator has also been updated to version 3.5. Windows 10 is supported. Player has now been separated from AppStudio. When you install AppStudio, you can still choose an app and run it, but instead of launching Player on the desktop, you launch just your app. If you require Player on Windows, Mac or Linux it can be downloaded separately. All apps created by the AppStudio team have now been converted to the new Native Application ArcGIS item type. This will mean you will no longer see the warning icon on our samples. Support for items of the type Code Sample will continue during Beta 4, but will be removed in the next Beta. To migrate your app, click the Menu on the app thumbnail and choose to Create new app from [App Name]. This will create a new local version of the app. When you add the app to ArcGIS using the Upload tool it will be assigned an item type of Native Application. The properties page of the Settings tool no longer freezes when you attempt to edit it. The properties have been organized into multiple tabs to make it easier to browse the properties and descriptions added for each. Quick Report template updates: Secured feature services are now supported. Features services with a spatial reference other than Web Mercator are now supported. The baseFontSize property has been fixed to ensure that you can scale up or down all text in the app. Map Viewer updates: Improved legend support for map services. Added chart support in popups. There are a few known issues with Beta 4 that we are working to address, but with these few tips, you can still continue to work on your own great apps : When installing AppStudio on a desktop whose is locale is one of the supported languages other than English, some text in the install wizard will appear with mixed characters. These are markers that indicate that the text is translatable but not yet translated. This text will be translated in the next release of AppStudio. Standalone apps that use the new WebView component, and any app launched in AppRun or AppPlayer on Mac OS 10.8 and 10.9 will not display. An immediate fix for you is to upgrade to Mac OS 10.10. We will shortly release a fix for 10.8 and 10.9. When you download an app in AppStudio for ArcGIS (Desktop Edition) or in Player, the thumbnail may not appear immediately. Click the refresh button to display the thumbnail. The templates are not translated yet.

Hi Paul We did some research and confirm that if a feature service has a default value set for one of the attributes field, and you try to set an attribute value for that field, it always sets it to the default value. This is true when you set the attribute value while creating a feature. However, if you update the feature by calling FeatureTable.UpdateFeature it will get updated with whatever value you set for the field. Regards, Marika

Replying specifically to your question about the Custom Tracklog Toolbar - which tool specifically isn't working for you? 1. Archive tool - turns GPS off and moves the contents of tracklog shapefile to another file with the name Tracklog_hhmmss_dd_mm_yyyy 2. Load tool - launches the add layer dialog to browse for an archived layer and when added to map, makes it editable 3. Clone tool - clones the points from the archived point layer and creates a line in an open and editable line layer.

Hi Kevin Your screenshot hints at all the right steps ie: - try it on desktop ArcPad (which means all the extensions are on by default) - the file path is not a network location (sometimes this can cause trouble) Since you are on the desktop, file size shouldn't be an issue so maybe try the default cell size. COuld it be a projection issue? Perhaps try opening the image on its own in ArcPad without the other layers. Regards, Marika

Since studying this thread we've done some comparisons between the templates and may have found a solution. We previously made a change to Map Tour to ignore SSL errors - and that fixed similar issues on iOS. Were now making that change to Quick Report and trying it out. More info soon.

Adding the ability to use secured feature services in Quick Report is underway and should be available in the next beta release. Signing in to AppStudio and its apps with different types of log in's, is also an area that is getting some improvement over the coming beta releases.

The Distribute your app—AppStudio for ArcGIS Desktop Edition (Beta) | ArcGIS topic has just been updated. For both stores the steps in brief are: Create a developer account (incurs an annual subscription fee). Create a keystore file (for Android) or a certificate (iOS) which you add to your app in Settings > Advanced Settings. Then build your installation file with the AppStudio Make tool. On the relevant store website, create a new listing and upload your installation files. Each store requires you to supply screenshots of your app and a description. The Google Play Store tends to accept your app in approximately 2 hours, and the App Store in approximately 1 to 2 weeks.

Thank you for sharing this feature service. I tried it in a template quick report app and launched it on my windows PC and iPad. In my case, the app worked as expected on both. At what stage of the app, do you see the 'hanging'? Is it whilst the app is loading (right at the beginning, when the wait cursor is spinning), or is it when you are attempting to add the new report? Just to be sure that the service is being added to the template correctly (there are some issues currently with the Settings > Properties dialog which will be rectified in the next beta), open your app in Qt Creator and browse to the appinfo.json file. This is where all the properties are saved. Scroll to the featureServiceURL and ensure the correct service is listed here. The following screenshot shows your service in my app:

Thank you Tracy for your detailed feedback. Below is some confirmation and responses that I hope will be helpful for you to continue working with AppStudio: Settings / Quick Properties page does not scroll correctly if at all: Yes we have been working to figure out exactly whats going on here. We have observed a strong correlation between being signed in and not. If you do not sign in to AppStudio and launch the Settings tool you can edit the properties comfortably. If you sign in (or are already signed in to the main gallery page before you click the Settings tool, you will find that until the sign is complete you will have a small window of opportunity to edit the properties, but then everything freezes once sign is complete. Our hope is that this will be fixed in Beta 4. Quick Reports: We have had a few inquires about quick reports behaving different on iOS than other platforms. this is not expected and we are still looking to find a reason for this. Downloading apps and thumbnails: We have also observed the downloading app freezing at 100% - but it has been intermittent. Thumbnail appearing blank is known - do click the refresh button to display the thumbnail after download. We've seen it with apps built from templates and also new apps. Maximize Window: This one intrigues me. I can not reproduce this. can you give a little more detail on this one? When i maximized the screen i could still click on different apps and launch them either by double clicking or by clicking the player button - is that what you are attempting?

My preferred method for exporting images in ArcGIS is to choose the layer in the TOC, right click, and select Export Data. On the export raster data dialog, be sure to choose Use Renderer (the default is usually for this to be unchecked). Here is a screenshot of a sample i just exported. You may have already been to this page (because your using tif's - which is ideal!) but for reference to others - this ArcPad help topic is the gospel on choosing rasters for ArcPad - ArcPad Help
