Hi All, There is one parcel that I have found in our county-wide parcel fabric that I cannot perform any edit operations on. Right-clicking gives me only the 'Copy' option available. I can't modifiy, edit, move delete this one particular parcel. I have tried regenerating-fabric over the area (and just the single parcel) with the same results. Has anyone else had this problem? Thanks!

Hi All, We have been replicating/syncing data from an SDE database for a while now and I've just started to notice that every few replica syncs to utility databases (file GDB's -- all created with 10.3) the queries to from those databases have slowed down dramatically. For instance, a simple LIKE query on a single attribute of points goes from < 2 seconds to nearly 10 seconds. This is really noticeable through ArcGIS Server map services. I can re-create the replica and the queries are back to normal (< 2 seconds). The SDE gets a nightly cleaning/compressing/re-indexing. Does anyone have any insights as to what might be the cause? Is there some post-sync cleanup to the file GDB's that can be done? It seems like the indexes are getting out of whack. Thanks in advanced for any help. Mike

Hello, I have a Postgres geodatabase that, for some reason, will not display the manage privileges on a feature dataset (wih a parcel fabric contained within) dialog via ArcCatalog. It will display with no problem on feature classes/tables outside of the dataset however. I am connecting with my SDE user with no luck. Any ideas? Thanks, Mike

Recommended workflow:- is to separate out different types of graphics into different GraphicLayers. This fixed it for me...running server 10.2.1...thanks! Update: 2016-01-28 Also, I have found that even though passing a non-string value for the text argument in the textSymbol works when displayed on the map...it won't print unless it's cast as a string in the textSymbol constructor.

Hi Mike, What is the distance between the coordinate position and the geometry's position? If this distance is small, and you are zoomed way in, then the XY tolerance may explain what you are seeing. Also, is the parcel fabric in a geographic coordinate system, and you're projecting on the fly using the map's data frame; or is the fabric's spatial reference a projected coordinate system, and the same as the map's projected coordinate system? Tim, The distance in this particular case is a bit under 5 feet from the original to the fabric control point...this varies across the fabric but the distances are much greater than the tolerance. Also, what I've noticed, this seems to only occur with associated control/fabric points...not un-associated ones. The fabric is in Montana State Plane 2500...no on-the-fly projection. Thanks

I've scoured the docs and can't find any answer to this. It appears that our imported control points have moved to the location of their corresponding fabric point. Is this expected behavior? What's more strange is that when I have the 'Maintain Control Points' dialog open, I can highlight the control point in question, which flashes its location...but...it's flashing where it was originally. This, among other things, has me worried about what the control points are doing in the fabric. Has anyone else seen this or have any insights? Thanks, Mike see attachement for illustration. Still the same problem. Only now I'm attempting and SDE to SDE whereas before it was and SDE to File GDB. Has anyone else seen this issue? Thanks.

Hello, I have had some issues with editor tracking in the parcel fabric and had to reset all of my fields to use the default ones that you get when right-clicking a feature -> manage -> enable editor tracking. I did that, recalc'ed all of the fields...but now I can't delete the old fields because is says that they are required and cannot be deleted. Is there a way to unlock these fields so I delete them (since they are no longer required). Thanks.

Another question: you??ve noted in your post that the General tab states ??Storage: High Precision using Geometry spatial type (SRID 0)? To confirm what you're seeing on that General property page: it does not state ???using ST_Geometry spatial type?? ? In other words this particular reported property has two problems; first is that the SRID is reported as 0, and the second is that it is not reporting the ??ST geometry?? Thanks, -Tim (Parcel Editor team) Hi Tim, That is correct. The Geometry Properties for all features (in 10.1) reads "High Precision using Geometry spatial type (SRID 0)". Strangely enough I have a new deployment of 10.2 and reading the same features reads "High Precision using Geometry spatial type (SRID 32100)". See screenshots. This is 10.1 looking at 'Parcels' in our SDE. This is 10.2 looking at 'Parcels' in our SDE. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Mike

I definitely agree this shouldn't be by design but it seems to be that there *should* be only one path one can walk down in regards to editing features with the Parcel Fabric editor tools....which would lead one to believe that these types of anomalies *shouldn't* happen within the fabric...obviously, they do. What's strange about these 'empty' features is that the appear to be unjoined from the fabric and I'm wondering how they seemed to make it out of the construction phase and into the fabric. Not much in the way of resolving the issue...just some observations.

Hi, I wouldn't expect to see those values unless the feature dataset/class was empty or somehow data was getting placed at that location. Melita Hi Melita, After investigating the "Parcels" feature class it seems that somehow there are records (3 total) with AREA and LENGTH of 0. I'm not sure if this is by design with the Parcel Fabric or not? I assume this is what is causing the extents to go all the way to the extremes. Any info on the SRID 0 issue? Thanks for your help. -Mike

Hi Vince, We're experiencing terribly slow drawing performance with our parcel fabric and I'm wondering if this could be our issue. Is it possible to 'downgrade' the default coordinate reference parameters as below? You can gain some of that perfromance back by proactively managing your coordinate reference parameters -- Instead of defaulting to the -400,-400,1billion XY offsets and scale, try using -400,-400,1million. Lopping off those extra digits will cut the storage requirements (at the cost of going from sub-millimeter to sub-decimeter precision). - V Thanks, Mike

Hello, We've been having some major performance issues and oddities with our parcel fabric and just noticed something: The fabric is in a featuredataset in State Plane - Meters. On a regular basis (even after reindexing with GP tools) our spatial/feature extent goes all out of whack. The Mins will read Min X -35666000 Min Y: -30006900 but the max numbers seem correct (Max Y: 381773.5113, Max X: 312012.9324)...same with Z extent (Min -100000 Max 0). I just noticed that, under the General tab, all of the features' Geometry Properties read: 'Storage: High Precision using Geometry spatial type (SRID 0)' Shouldn't this SRID be set to the correct State Plane system (32100 in our case). I do find that when I query the SQL tables to get the SRID (Shape.STSrid) I get back 32100. Could this be causing the performance issues that we are experiencing? Any help would be fantastic! Thanks!

Hello, I just posted a question about this same issue...have you had any luck resolving this? Is this a bug in the Fabric? It's seems a bit buggy. Thanks.
