Hola Saskia, Ok, so this is a bit old school and yes I can be old school. Prior to using attachments, you were able to create a field (eg. photo) and enter the path directory of where your attachments would reside, local or on the server. As you can see in my screen shots, you are then able to generate a report for that field, again it is a bit old school workflow but it may give you what you are looking to do. Just keep in mind this is more manual work by creating a new field on your data, where using the Enabled for attachments can will easier. I hope this give you another option to use from within ArcMap, and this will allow you to run reports. Gracias, Saskia! Hola Saskia, If you are looking to use the canned reporting from within ArcMap, I don’t see where you would be able to use the attachments to generate a report of them. The Report Wizard as you can see in the screenshot, looks for a field that it will generate the report from that identified field. The attached images are embedded within the geodatabase, and I don’t see where the Report Wizard will be able to access them. You may want to log a support case with our Desktop Team for verification on this but in going back to my desktop days. I don’t see where this would be an out of the box option for you. Gracias, Saskia! Juan

Hola Saskia, In looking at the information provided and screenshots, which really helps. Usually when enabling for attachments on the feature class that is within a feature dataset. The tables that are created, will reside outside the feature dataset and not within the feature dataset as the feature class resides. In looking at the fgdb you provided, there was only one feature class (CIP). I went ahead and created a feature dataset and brought in your feature class. I then looked to enable the feature class for attachments, and you will see how the two tables created will sit outside the feature dataset and not inside with the feature classes. You will now be able to publish the feature class as either a map service or feature service or both, and then use them within the webmap in AGOL. I hope this assist you, if you have any other questions, please let us know. I am also uploading the fgdb with these changes to it, as a zip file. Gracias, Saskia!

Hola Jessiecar This sounds like something I would suggest logging a support case with the Server Usage Team. We would be able to dive into this with you, and then look to see what could be causing this issue and you mentioned an error. The error can always tell us some very important information, and you should always look to the resources available on the server box. Along with the number of services you are running, and if this happens with all map services you are attempting to publish. I guess we did provide a few items to look into on your end, but I would really suggest logging a support case with us on the server team. Gracias, Jessiecar! Juan

Hola Thomas, I am glad to hear that this worked for you, and you are able to see the buffer rings within Explorer. In regards to you using a point on the webmap, to represent the buffer for better performance. This would work for you, as long as you are not making a large amount of update on the data within ArcMap, and then override the service in AGOL. Gracias, Thomas! Juan

Hola Thomas, I wanted to see if you are able to provide a bit more details, like on your workflow. I was able to generate a buffer layer within ArcMap, and then publish them as a Hosted Feature Service and a Service Feature Service. I then added them to a webmap in AGOL, named it and shared it to my Organization and I was able to see both layers within my webmap in Explorer and Collector. So, I am just a bit curious to see your workflow, which you are using to have these features display within both Explorer and Collector. Gracias, Thomas!! Juan

Hola John, Here is a really good technical article that might assist in what you are attempting to do with the raster for use in ArcPad. If this does not resolve the issue, as Dan suggested, just log a support case with us in Support Services. Good Luck, John! Hola Preston, I understand you wanted to know if ArcPad 10.2 is compatible with ArcMap 10.3, and the answer is Yes. ArcPad is an independent model, there’s no ‘compatibility’ needed between it and ArcMap. The only component that is related to ArcMap is the ArcPad Data Manager, where it will leverage the Check Out/In data component. This can be used overall with just about any supported versions of ArcMap (ArcMap 10.0-10.3x). I hope this addresses your question but we are here to assist if you have any further questions or issues. Gracias, Preston! Juan

Gracias All! At the moment the bug is still at the “Assigned” status, which still means a developer is looking into this with a plan on a fix. I understand several of our users are looking for this to be fixing but I will say that this week since the release of 10.3.4 last Friday (Oct. 9th). Our development teams are dedicated to the current bug below, which is very crucial to all of our users. I am also providing a blog and a kb article is any of you guys maybe being affected by this update. Thanks, Al!! Due to regression BUG-91399 Esri has temporarily removed Collector for ArcGIS (iOS) 10.3.4 from the Apple App Store as it included a software defect that causes data loss in devices storing local edits that had not been synced. We apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause your organization and expect Collector for ArcGIS to be available in the App Store in the next few days. See KB article #45631 for additional details, Bug: Collector for ArcGIS (iOS) 10.3.4 Has Been Temporarily Removed From the App Store http://support.esri.com/en/knowledgebase/techarticles/detail/45631. Esri will announce the availability of Collector for ArcGIS 10.3.5 on the Apple App Store through this KB article as well as on the ArcGIS blog. Collector for ArcGIS v10.3.4 is out http://blogs.esri.com/esri/arcgis/2015/10/09/collector-for-arcgis-v10-3-4-is-out/ BUG-000091399-Upgrading to Collector for iOS version 10.3.4 deletes any existing maps previously downloaded to the iOS device and deletes edits that haven't yet been synced. Hola Chris, I wanted to see if you had located a solution for your post, if not here is one of our Extension which may assist you. it is a separate cost for this extension but you are able to download it and use it on a 60 day trial, and then determine if this would be a good investment for you, if you convert JSON’s that often. Thanks, Chris! ArcGIS Data Interoperability Work with industry standards such as CSV, CAD, JSON, XML, and RSS http://www.esri.com/software/arcgis/extensions/datainteroperability Juan

Govindarajan, Gracias for the updated information. We have seen some customers make some combinations of these products work for their projects. I just like to always suggest to my customers, to align the products together as they are released. This typically will work the best, since this is how the developers have released the various product versions. I do understand when it is not always possibly to upgrade all of the products at the same time, weather it is budget, IT, etc. Again Good Luck! Keep in touch if you need anything else. Govindarajan! Hola Govindarajan, The way I understand it from a support aspect, from within Support Services. our developers created ArcGIS for Windows Mobile 10.2.1 as you mentioned, to work together with the release of 10.3x (Desktop & ArcGIS Server). In past cases and testing with various product version combinations, we have seen it not work where upgrading (Desktop & ArcGIS Server) to 10.2.1 with ArcGIS for Windows Mobile 10.0.5. The architecture for ArcGIS for Windows Mobile 10.0.5 had different gp tools, then what is seen within ArcGIS for Windows Mobile 10.1.1, 10.2 or 10.2.1. So, I would not suggest mixing the various version combinations. I hope this helps in your projects and future projects, but if you ever have further questions. Please continue to post them here or reach out to me, from within Support Services. Gracias, Govindarajan! Juan

Hola Justin, I took the three questions you posted, and looked to address them for you. I am not on the ArcPad development team, I am in Support Services, I hope my responses help. Gracias, Justin! 1. Looking to get rid of the tabs for the the toolbars and just have all of the toolbars in ArcPad 7 This looks to be hard-coded into ArcPad 10.0+ 2. How to disable the north arrow from prompting the GPS to be Active I am not seeing this within ArcPad 10.0+ 3. If you have a previous version of Arcpad, and want to upgrade to the latest version I would suggest a uninstall of the previous version on the PC, and a reinstall of the latest version on the PC. If you are looking to perform this on a mobile device, I would suggest a factory reset on the device, if you have any other software’s on the device. I would suggest having them available to re-deploy back onto the device, after the upgrade of ArcPad. Juan
