Hi Iris Green. I tested the behavior and couldn't reproduce it. The versioned view created successfully using an ArcGIS Desktop 10.6.1 client against the 10.6.1 enterprise geodatabase. Did you encounter the behavior using a newer ArcGIS Desktop client against the 10.6.1 enterprise geodatabase?

Hi Rob, I want to validate if you are using the user schema gdb model. "The geodatabase in the sde schema is always the master geodatabase and contains a table (SDE.INSTANCES) that keeps track of all the other geodatabases in the Oracle database." Related link on user schema geodatabases. How many rows are in your SDE.INSTANCES table? Thanks

Is the underlying feature class a point, line or polygon? Is the spatial view based on joining the feature class to other tables? Are the tests based on rendering the spatial view at full extent? Capture a trace to determine where the time is being spent. We need to review if the time is being spent querying or fetching the data. Esri Technical Support can also assist to troubleshoot the behavior.

The 'Create Replica' gp tool doesn't support projecting feature classes into another coordinate system. The following idea is related to the requested functionality.

Review the following article on applying a geographic transformation when synchronizing a replica to determine if it helps with the behavior. Add the following environment in the python script. eg: arcpy.env.geographicTransformations = "WGS_1984_(ITRF00)_To_NAD_1983"

Can the data owner successfully start an edit session without being added to the fixed database roles? Are there any feature classes in one of the problematic feature datasets participating in relationship classes and the editor doesn't have permissions on the related tables? Please create a support case and let us review the behavior if the above troubleshooting questions do not help. We might start testing with a new user with only edit permissions on one of the problematic feature datasets (the db_datareader and db_datawriter roles will not be applied). An sdeintercept can be set up to log actions for the 'start editing' operation and it will be reviewed for any errors. Thanks

Test creating a simple table with the same name from the database end and then delete the table/feature class that shows up in the database connection using ArcCatalog. You can subsequently test creating another feature class with the same name to determine if it is successful. Do you by chance have subtypes on the feature class? If subtypes exist, can you review if domains have been assigned on the subtype level? Review the "Creating subtypes and associating default values and domains" section for an example. If the above information is not applicable, can you create a new file geodatabase and export a single feature as a new feature class > test the domain usage in ArcMap to determine if the same behavior can be reproduced. You can subsequently zip this sample file geodatabase and attach it here for review. Thanks
