This idea has been implemented in ArcGIS Pro 3.6 release. Thank you all for your valuable inputs. To have layers have IDs assigned automatically, go to the Project >> Options dialog; switch to Map and Scene tab and have 'Assign unique numeric IDs to all layers in the new maps' checked.   pls note that this option won't affect your existing maps. Also, there is a new option on the map's Properties page to reset existing layer IDs and assign sequential values (starting from 0) to existing layers.     ... View more

Hi @IreneEgbulefu1  I won't be able to help with the script. Just have a side question. Are you using 'dedicated' instances or 'shared'? If the former one, do you think it would be an option to switch to 'shared' instances? As you know shared instances are meant to optimize your resources used by SOC processes.   ... View more

hi @Ankitkhanna  I'm so sorry... I missed the notification. I hope you found the solution by now. Just wanted to add a couple of points: I don't know exactly why 'visible only' not working. I think you might need to update the property of the dynamic text element in your arcpy code to reset it back to 'visible only' If you have a chance to move to 11.5, I'd highly recommend that. Because that is where dynamic-text-elements are fully supported throughout our stack. And you wouldn't need to roll out any custom solution. You author a layout template with dynamic text element, you share that with a print service, at the design phase in ExB, the print widget will recognize those dynamic text element, it will allow you to set their datasources... at the run time, all you need to do it pick the template in the print widget, and you will see output image from the print service populates dynamic text elements correctly i hope this helps Tanu ... hello all, for the case mentioned above, you'd not need to create your custom print service with importCredentials(). Token based security is supported by default by all print services. If you see any issues with print service not able to print secured map/feature services, please reach out to Esri Support, as you know it gets much easier that way to debug issues like this. Also, on .ags file, Pro doesn't allow storing credentials in an .ags file for a server that is federated to a portal. I hope this helps. Tanu ... View more
