@malte the good news is that the patch is released today. please apply this patch on your 11.2 server and this should resolve your issue #1 you mentioned above. As I mentioned I was not able to reproduce #2. https://support.esri.com/en-us/patches-updates/2023/arcgis-server-11-2-map-and-print-service-patch Pls make sure you don't have ArcGIS Pro 3.2 on the same machine. We are aware of some issues with regards to print service, when both Pro and Server are installed on the same machine.

The perfect solution would be to convert a selection to a definition query (such as ASSET_ID IN (1,2,3) using OOTB functionality. @Bud probably you are aware of this idea which is under consideration. https://community.esri.com/t5/arcgis-pro-ideas/selection-to-definition-query/idi-p/932030

@HeathClark - This defect has presented many challenges. The resolution we are working toward is for map services. Based on current progress, we are working to provide a resolution in one of the upcoming releases in 2024.

@MamoonRasheed That is very odd. I'd strongly recommend you to reach out to Esri Support, as I am out of suggestions without looking into this on your machine. Unfortunately I can't do live session. Only an analyst from Esri Support can do this. I'm so sorry for all the troubles you are going thru. An analyst will be help resolve this issue. Not sure if I mentioned that before; in new releases, localhost or local ip addresses are considered invalid urls by print service. Therefore we need to find out why your urls with domain/machine name is not working. Also, from your screenshots it looks like your map service is secured. If so, are tokens being included in print service requests? are they getting generated using your local ip/local host or your machine/domain url? either way, as mentioned previously, please reach out to Esri Support for further assistance. Please accept my sincere apologies as I won't be able help any further in this thread as I don't and can't have all necessarily information I'd need to help over this chain 😞 .

@MamoonRasheed Thanks for clarifying. Sorry that I wrongfully assumed you didn't have valid certificate for your :6443 port. You are right about other things you mentioned about web adaptor. Can you pls do me a favor? pls log (remote or physically) on to your server machine, where the print service runs as the ArcGIS SOC user open a web browser (maybe in Incognito mode to avoid any local cache) try to access your map services https://<domain-name>:6443/arcgis/rest/service/<service-name>/MapServer see if you can access this url w/o get prompted for anything if you happen to have ArcGIS Pro installed on that server machine, I'd like you to access your map service the same way in Pro. And see if you can access that w/o getting prompted with any dialog box or anything.

urgh.... I wanted to mention that in my first comment and then I dropped (I just updated that comment) -- that the query layer approach requires both side presented in the same database. thanks @MarceloMarques for providing the link to the stackoverflow discussion
