The biggest reason is that when we upgrade servers every couple of years or so, we have to rebuild everything so we want to avoid doing that.

We have data in two different databases (both in sql) that we need to join and publish to Portal. I believe that currently, ESRI does not support a relationship class where the feature layer is in one database and the table is in a different one. We are trying to avoid using a linked database in sql so I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem and what they did for a workaround. Thanks!

Are there any updates regarding a way to tie location information with downloaded photos? The script works great but in our case, we collect thousands of points when a hurricane hits, it will be very cumbersome to go back and try to figure out which photos belong with which location. Thanks!

I'm running into a very strange issue where some of my outputs are different depending on if I run the model builder or the script which was created from the model builder. When I run the model builder, everything is correct. However, we have a script set up to run nightly on a task scheduler, and 3 of the 5 outputs are not correct when the script runs. DCU's and Reclosers turn out correctly from the script but Capacitors, Regulators, and Switches somehow end up being a polygon output when they're supposed to be points. I've gone through the script to try and find the problem but I'm not sure why the output is a polygon and why this is only happening for some of the shapefiles. We are running arcgis desktop 10.5.1 and are on version 2.7 for Python.

Due to getting a rendering error when trying to publish from ArcMap, I'm trying to set up a custom symbology expression in Portal. When I create my expression however, it seems as though Portal is omitting most of the data. The data set has almost 13,000 records but when I do the custom symbology expression, that number goes down to less than 3,000. The expression is below. We use ArcGIS Desktop 10.5.1 and Portal for ArcGIS 10.5.1. On another note, is the rendering issue going to be fixed in future versions? It would be nice to be able to publish with a 'unique values, many fields' symbology.

This has been solved. The issue was having '&' in the alias of the feature class which was coming over to the form id. Even though my feature class didn't have the '&' in the name itself, it can't be in the alias either. Thank you Brandon Armstrong for your help with this!

I have a survey created from a feature layer which is on AGOL. The survey was published using Survey123 Connect. This survey collects records just fine on an ipad and the records come over without issue to the feature layer. However, I can't access the survey in survey123 online. When I click on it, it just spins. Also, with the other surveys we have, it shows how many records there are (see attached photo). I'm not seeing that for this particular survey. I thought the issue might be because the survey was created in Survey123 Connect, but the Job Site Safety survey was also created using Survey 123 Connect and it works just fine in Survey123 online.

Hello, We have a scenario where we want one of the results in the pop-up to show up as a hyperlink, but only if it hits a certain domain in that layer. If you see the screenshot below, you'll notice "Fiber Service Available." This layer has an expression set up to display different messages depending on the domain. We want a hyperlink here but only if fiber is available. We don't want the message to be a hyperlink if it is different from "Fiber Service Available". I attempted to insert HTML code to create a url into the expression arcade window but I got an 'invalid token' message. This suggests to me that HTML and Arcade don't go together (correct me if I'm wrong). Another thing that complicates this is that the HTML window (for the custom attribute display) is already set up to display the icon next to the message. Is there a way that I can modify my expression to generate a hyperlink if "Fiber Service is Available" but to not have a hyperlink if any other message displays?

Hello, We are using Survey 123 Connect to create a survey from a feature class. We're running into a minor aesthetic problem with one of our questions. We want the answer choices to be in the same row, so we went with 'horizontal-compact' for appearance. It seems like there isn't enough room on the page so one of the answer choices is forced to go into a new row below. Is there a way to change how wide the web form is in order to 'stretch' it and have that answer choice back in the same row as the others?

Good morning Kelly, All of the layers in the map are hosted in ArcGIS Online. Edit: This has been solved. Our issue was that we did not have the 'Request Tracking' layer within our map. The reason for this was because we are using this layer in an app that is already being used live, so we did not want to test in here to throw our numbers off.

Good morning James, So we're using the Serviceability Lookup Solution. We want to capture the lat/long from the address that the customer is inputting. I know that lat/long is stored in one of the layers (Request Tracking) that is included in the solution. The problem I've ran into is that I can't get a second copy of that Request Tracking layer to test with. We have already deployed it once before and it is in full use on our website, so I would prefer not to test on that layer because it will throw our numbers off. Another issue we have to account for is the random ordering of the pop-ups. Because of this, I created an invisible layer in which our Survey123 form is stored. This way, the form always shows up at the bottom. We do not have lat/long data in this invisible layer.

Good afternoon, We are using the Serviceability Lookup Solution and getting the following error upon loading the app Layer is not in the webmap: This forum had a similar issue https://community.esri.com/thread/188399-layer-is-not-in-the-webmapservice-area-error The difference is that in the other forum, the error specified which layer was missing. This is not the case for us. All of our layers are sourced correctly, all of the layers that should be in the map are there, and we made sure to configure the "Lookup Layers" tab of the solution.

We are trying to pass latitude and longitude points from a pop-up as well. Here is the syntax we're using: https://survey123.arcgis.com/share/6a9fa702496a4ccb966523384ca210cd?center={Longitude},{Latitude} This doesn't center the resulting map on the lat/long inside of the survey form. Here is what the url looks like: https://survey123.arcgis.com/share/6a9fa702496a4ccb966523384ca210cd?center=, Is there something we need to change in the survey itself?
