I've seen similar behavior when going from #ArcMap to #AGO, but I can't speak about your exact workflow as we don't have Portal implemented yet. I'd be curious to hear from a Mod on this one.

You can use a Garmin to collect waypoints and then use the Minnesota DNR tool to convert to .shp -> Arc.

Anyone have an idea on how to reproduce this without installing Enterprise? The performance is amazing.

Try this Close all ESRI applications. Navigate to ESRI\DesktopXX.X\ArcCatalog and Rename Normal.gxt to NormalOld.gxt. Restart Catalog. WARNING - You'll lose any Catalog configurations and it'll reset to the default view of Catalog.

It looks like your Main Menu just needs to be docked into Catalog's frame. Have your tried grabbing it with your mouse and place it in the area above your Standard tools?

That sounds correct - you'll need one field to hold the values in metric, one to hold the values in imperial, and a field for your if/calculation statement. You could use a SelectOne to force your users to let you know what system they're using, and if they select imperial then you do the conversion.

You can follow the directions here: "As of the June 2018 update to ArcGIS Online, domains can be added and updated directly in ArcGIS Online through the Data tab in the hosted feature layer's item page. For more details, refer to ArcGIS Online: Define attribute lists and ranges."

I've never heard of leveraging that many subtypes. At an old employer, we had nearly 50 subtypes for different electrical transformer configurations, this didn't seem to affect the lagginess of the db. I'm curious if different feature classes wouldn't serve you better - only for the ease of use for your mappers / field crew...just picture editing and having to select one of 900 items in a list either in Desktop or in Collector. Perhaps you could split the signs into 9 different classes and then have a list of 100 in each? You could still subtype them out, you'd just reduce the number of items your folks have to scroll through. Just a thought. Please let us know what you decide to do and what your results are, I'm quite curious

It was very reliable - we just turned it on, paired over Bluetooth and went to work. We had zero issues after continuous usage over a month's worth of regular usage.

Our group purchased and used a Bad Elf Surveyor on a project earlier this year. The battery life is amazing, the Bluetooth pairing (at least on iOS) is a breeze and configuring Collector to use this signal in lieu of the on-board GNSS receiver was a piece of cake. Collector reported positional accuracy of up to 2.7 ft. in a parking lot on a sunny, cloud-free day. If you have any specific questions feel free to contact me directly.

Don't save the .kml in a .gdb...as Dan Patterson mentions above, you should store it in a file folder such as c:/temp instead.
