1. Was the Publish Boundary Layers tool in Portal run with Portal's default administrator credentials? 2. Is the hosted service owned by owner: esri_boundaries? 3. Can you share your developer tools error in the browser when you go to the Geographies tab in your workbook? Thanks, Aravind

Hey Andrew, Insights doesn't support adding custom fields from the layer in the hover-over popup feature. Hover popup content depends on the type of renderer (Layer Style) and doesn't list all the fields like ArcGIS Online/Portal for ArcGIS. Thanks, Aravind

Hey Leah, At this moment if you share a page from a workbook in Insights to Everyone, the user has to be atleast a Level 1 viewer in order to login to Portal to view the page. However, in the Share a Page dialog, you'll see a section to embed a page: Copy Embed Code URL: portal/apps/insights/index.html#/embed/<IDofthePage>. You can create a simple HTML file in your organization's web server and insert this embed code as a DIV element to allow public access to your employees who don't have a portal named user account. Thanks, Aravind

Hi Leah, it looks like the behavior is a defect: BUG-000103325 : When adding a service to a map in Insights for ArcGIS where the data source for the service is from an Oracle database, the data will not be visible on the map, but attributes can be viewed. Thanks, Aravind

Hi Leah, Is the Query Layer coming from a non-geodatabase or an enterprise geodatabase? Additionally, When publishing the query layer, it creates a map service. I add the feature service url to my Portal content after this as a separate item so that Insights can see it as a feature service. When you publish the query layer with feature access, it should add two items to your Portal if the ArcGIS Server is federated: Map Image Layer and a Feature Layer. So, you can use the item called "Feature Layer" to add this to the Insights workbook. I published a view from my non-geodatabase to ArcGIS Server as a feature service. I can see the points rendered in the "Map" card. Thanks, Aravind

Insights for ArcGIS requires a Base Enterprise 10.5 deployment: Portal for ArcGIS 10.5, ArcGIS Server 10.5 (GIS Server license) - federated with Portal and designate this server as a hosting server by installing ArcGIS Data Store 10.5 - register with the above Server. Two web adaptors - Server and Portal (IIS/Java). If you have this and still see the problem, please go to My Content and choose "Create". You should see the following option in the dropdown "Feature Layer". If you're missing this, then there's probably some issue with creating hosted feature services in Portal/Server. Thanks, Aravind

Hello, Our apologies for getting back to your question on a delay. Can you confirm that the URL for Portal for ArcGIS does not: 1.) Contain a "/" at the end of the URL: e.g: https://portal.esri.com/arcgis should be the URL in ArcGIS Maps for Office tab. Not, https://portal.esri.com/arcgis/ 2. Additionally, if you have HTTPS configured, can you make sure the URL is https://portal.esri.com/arcgis and not http://portal.esri.com/arcgis ? Thank you, Aravind

Hi Lisa, Housing it under Portal and outside are both two valid configurations, deployment-wise. As a test, can you try to deploy the same storymap app in the server running Portal to see if it behaves differently? If it does, then the machine you previously deployed it on isn't able to interact or allow network interactions between the server running Portal and the server deploying the app. Hope this makes sense. Thanks, Aravind

Hi Owen, Thank you for your reply! I'll definitely do that. Just as a feedback for future references, is it possible to indicate in our documentation page, what an ideal cover photo size should be in order to not get images cropped as they get uploaded and filled out in that section? That would definitely be helpful to resize the image in a photo editor and not have to crop the image to get a specific portion to appear. Thank you so much again! Aravind

Hi, Is the URL to your Organization modified to reflect your Portal for ArcGIS URL in the story maps template javascript file? If you share the template of the story maps it should be easy to determine where to include the Portal URL. I suppose if the Story Maps application is served on a browser that supports CORS (IE 10 and later, Google Chrome, Microsoft Firefox) then you shouldn't have a problem connecting to the webmap for Portal which contains a different origin URL than the application URL. Thanks, Aravind

More so than the Story Map Tour, 1. Are you going to be publishing hosted feature services to ArcGIS Online? This will expire and be disabled from access for you when the Trial period is over. Therefore the links inside the webmap which contain the data will no longer function and display the data. 2. The URLS to your story map tour, to your webmap should no longer use the Organization name in the URL. It should be truncated to https://www.arcgis.com. Thanks, Aravind

This is my actual image. Its dimensions are 2456 X 3680 pixels. However once I've uploaded the media, the cover section doesn't provide an option to size my image or position it once its uploaded. Therefore, I cannot decide which position I want the image to be in. Eg: This is my view in the Editor template. When i view it in my story maps: http://ess.maps.arcgis.com/apps/Cascade/index.html?appid=6f4895a54fd444c9a3789e34f1d1bac5 The image looks like this: Is there a custom image size that is described ideal for this section? That would be really helpful to crop my image and have it display the area of the image i'm interested in. Thanks, Aravind

Are you using a built-in username? If so, i would think ArcGIS Online usually matches usernames to organizations based on its unique value when logging in. This is why: you can still login to www.arcgis.com using your built-in username and password and still login to the right organization. I am not sure if you would be able to use that same name in a different organization. Thanks, Aravind
