Oh!!!! Don't do it this way. Go through Hub. If you share the feature layer as a view w/ hub and turn on the export options, the CSV is automatically handled. https://data.bellevuewa.gov as an example only has services published daily and the CSV, Shapefiles, etc are all auto generated on demand.

# Find Item
search_result= connectedP.content.search(serviceID, 'Feature Layer')
FS_item = search_result[0]
targetedOverwrite = FeatureLayerCollection.fromitem(FS_item)
time.sleep(90)
fileTransfer = r'{}\{}'.format(path_Proj, fileName)
print ('Updating {} using {}'.format(FS_item.title, fileName))
# Send for update
try:
targetedOverwrite.manager.overwrite(fileTransfer)
print ('\tSuccessful update of {} \r\r'.format(FS_item.title)) Frankly though, I would not do it this way (recommend) and would likely look at directly accessing the data source or scraping the CSV to a database where you add/remove/update records and then publish/update the service either via writing to the service (depending on record account that might be the most efficient way) or by overwriting the service. # Share to portal
print(' ...Uploading Service Definition')

Uh....Geographic Information Systems Professional (GISP)? For someone who utilizes best practice methods for designing, implementing, and assisting in GIS architecture and infrastructure, data, apps, portals, and system administration providing strategic GIS leadership? It is so disappointing to see orgs that have an eye toward the future, still being stuck in the past with requirements that are so backward. You are not looking to hire a senior GIS analyst here. For the job description, the GISP exam is less than 10% of what you are wanting done. Candidates who are doing this at scale, most do not have their GISP because it is not relevant to their job. Maybe you want to add in Professional Practice into the mix...so 15% of the certification applies to this job posting. Still not relevant enough. My point being that you are artificially closing yourself off from qualified individuals, even in your own state. To boot, there is not a whole lot of evidence showing that a GISP actually improves the quality of your candidate options for someone who is a GIS Architect or even those who are providing supervision. Instead, maybe you would want them to have other certifications such as AWS Certified Cloud Practioner or Solutions Architect (or the Azure equivalent). Perhaps having certifications in the Cyber Security realm would be more preferable such as Security+ or CYSA+. You know, certifications that have a significant relevance to the position and that will go a long way toward making your infrastructure reliable, sustainable, and ensure your architect can architect beyond what comes on a Esri whitepaper.

I agree...the Usage tab is a very very useful tool and should be put into Portal. Frankly, the closer the code base for Portal and AGOL is, the better for most of us because we would not have to reinvent the wheel for what are essentially the same systems configured slightly different.

You could adjust the code base of this tool AGOL-MetaData Snagger to lookup the view count daily and subtract from the previous day, and store it. You would get something that looked like this... Then you could take that date and generate up metrics that start looking like this.... Which will turn into dashboards, etc.

Oh that is good info and makes sense as that is the same configuration needed for ArcGIS Monitor. Thank you for the update!

What are you needing help with specifically? We all have a lot of specialties. For example, in my case, I am a spatial data administrator and infrastructure architect. This translates out as someone who understand, builds, maintains, and creates the foundational footprint of any GIS supporting infrastructure and ensures it is performative. Are you looking for developers instead or perhaps analysts?

In limited testing using both AGOL and SAML authenticated accounts, the issue persists. There is some small degrees of success when trying to publish a new layer. In a few cases, when it errors out, you can click publish on the Service Definition that is uploaded and it will continue to create the service, even though it failed on the publish. Talked with Esri tech support this morning about it and after we got past the whole, you don't need a screen share session to review what I am telling you and the logs piece, they are escalating the issue. Again, only appears to impact Hive 1 (https://services1.arcgis.com)

The issue is only impacting specific hives. It is not a global issue. If your org is hosted out of https://services8.arcgis.com, all appears good there. https://services1.arcgis.com seems to be having an issue.

Is anyone else having issues publishing at the moment? Appears to be a service disruption with only the following error message-- Sending to Publishing... ...Uploading Service Definition Failure! -- ERROR 999999: Something unexpected caused the tool to fail.
