Hello Jack - nice to make your acquaintance and to learn about the River Management Society and the National Rivers Project - what a wonderful resource and the map provides a fascinating and unique view of our amazing river system. I'm president of the St Johns River-to-Sea Loop Alliance - an ambitious 260-mile emerging bike trail that mostly follows the route of the St Johns River from near Titusuville, FL north. We cherish our river and understand the importance of your ambitious project. I can see it's a work in progress with a lot of related partners and would love to learn more about the process and background. Of course many of our great cycle paths follow rivers and I'd love a way to connect with the support groups for these trails and to strengthen the connection of trails to rivers. maggie@river2sealoop.org

I just tried to upgrade to ArcGISPro 2.6.0 - the install ran for about a half hour and finally said "Install server not responding". I have the update log... what should I do? should I try again to upgrade? It looks like it still works in 2.5.0. Should I attach the log?

Hi, I've already been helped twice by this community so I'm really impressed! but I'm wondering if I'm posting in the right place or if there are subcategories under Nonprofits. I'm co-founder and president of the St JOhns River-to-Sea Loop Alliance. Small all-volunteer nonprofits like ours are very hands-on where a few people are passionate about the cause and wear a lot of hats - one of the many hats I wear is GIS and mapping so I'm entirely self-taught and not very confident. Our nonprofit has a specific focus on supporting a particular 260-mile paved Florida bike trail, and a broader focus on advocating active, equitable mobility and cycle tourism. Most of my mapping has been about the trail and resources in the trail corridor. But I'd also like to learn how GIS can help our broader cause. We use Pro which has proved a challenge because the partners who would be willing to help us are gov't & academic people who do not use Pro and don't want to work across the differences. So my question is - is there a way to find and connect with people like ourselves who would be willing to discuss and share knowledge about any of these issues? A support group for amateur GIS people Bike Trails - evolving routes, managing "resources" like trail heads, campgrounds and points of interest Story Maps or other tools for Guidebooks Connecting with advocates Pro (and how to get help from desktop users) Thanks for any suggestions.

OK you are a genius! Housekeeping listed 2 big files that were ppkx package types and quite old. They did NOT show up in the Credit Usage Status display which was until today the only way I knew about to manage credit usage. I downloaded and deleted the files and everything still works and my total file size is only 1/3 what it was before so I think you have solved my problem! Thank you very much and I hope the housekeeping app will be staying around.

Thanks Ben - you're right... there are 2 big files shown that I'm not sure are needed. Now I guess it's up to me to figure out how they got there and what will happen if I remove them... any hints appreciated. how would I go about reaching out to you if I can't figure it out.

OK thanks - I'll check it out. Also in the comparison chart it says both old and new "allow story printing" but I'm not sure exactly what it means (what the result looks like) and how to do it. thanks.

Hi Rebecca , thanks for the quick reply... that's what we've been doing year after year, even when there is no other activity... I thought there might be a way to reduce it a little or at least understand what goes into it so we could avoid increasing it. And thanks for the opportunity to discuss on this forum.

Hello, I'm looking for a basic tutorial on the new story map capabilities - I don't want a bunch of flashy examples. I want to start with a map (in our case a multiuse trail) and build a guide to the trail. Should be straightforward. I had partial success with the old 'shortlist' and I'm just trying to figure out how to do it better... it should be easy but everything I click on is a lot of flashy multimedia that's not giving an overview of the toolset and how to use it. Any suggestions appreciated.

Hello, I'm co-founder and president of a small organization that supports a regional bike trail and advocates for bikeable/walkable/livable places, policies and infrastructure. Thank you for setting up this area. As a small organization we appreciate guidance in the understanding the simplest way to get our maps and story maps done, and also how to manage cost. We also be happy to learn if there are other groups related to our cause. Thank you.

We are also with a very small nonprofit with a limited budget. We have budgeted the license fee, but the storage fee is well over $100 per year. We only have one map and a few story maps online so the fee for service credits is confusing.

Error compressing Package. Hello, I am using ArcGIS Pro V 2.1.2. When attempting to share a project package I repeatedly get the error: "an error occured while compressing the package". There does not seem to be any recovery. It occurs whether I check "Share outside of organization" or not. Clearing cache does not help either. Any ideas?
