Hi James, Editing Redlines within Event Editor requires feature access so you can create and modify Redline features. Any editor making these edits would need to be a level 2 user type. Nathan ArcGIS Roads and Highways team

Hi Masao, You're correct that the line network functionality is designed to support equation points, which are prevalent in the transmission pipeline industry, and the need to still have a continuous measure for these routes for reporting purposes. While you can absolutely evaluate the functionality and determine if it meets you needs, be aware that there are some ArcMap equivalency items that aren't yet into ArcGIS Pro. I'll also mention that depending on what your equation points are being used for, you could also explore the support for stationing events and locating events based on stationing measures that we added into ArcMap and Event Editor quite a few releases ago. Hi Marissa, Glad to hear you'll be able to use the workaround to get data loaded for your deployment of Pipeline Referencing and the Utility Network. The Pipeline Referencing team plans to make quite a few enhancements to the Append Routes and Remove Overlapping Centerline geoprocessing tools to better support loading data into a combined APR-UN deployment in the Pro release that will be during the first half of next year. We plan to enhance these two tools and also make some additional enhancements for APR editing tools and others throughout the software based on feedback from users and partners that have started to utilize the Pipeline Referencing and the Utility Network together. Thanks, Nathan ArcGIS Pipeline Referencing team

Hi Charmalee, If you're looking to making a selection on your network and/or events that will be utilized in the overlay, I would suggest taking a look at Make Query Layer (Data Management)—ArcGIS Pro | Documentation. You mentioned the definition query for time that we automatically put onto layers ((FromDate is null or FromDate<=CURRENT_TIMESTAMP) and (ToDate is null or ToDate>CURRENT_TIMESTAMP)). I would suggest continuing to utilize some sort of time query when you run the Overlay Events tool as the tool is designed to run against a single time range. Nathan ArcGIS Roads and Highways team

To add some additional context to what Amit mentioned above, the Route Name field is an LRS system field that is configured when your RouteID is an autogenerated GUID. If you utilize a multi-field RouteID, then the LRS Route Name field is not required and won't be configured, however, you can still configure a Route Name or similar field descriptive field as an additional user managed field in your LRS Network.
