The ArcGIS Server 11.1 Pipeline Referencing patch 1 is now available, along with ArcGIS Pro 3.1.7. The Server and Pro patches include a variety of bugs submitted by users as well as performance enhancements in route editing and calibration. For Pipeline Referencing users on these versions, it's recommended both patches be installed to provide the best user experience when using Pipeline Referencing tools. You can download Pro 3.1.7 from MyEsri. You can download ArcGIS Server 11.1 Pipeline Referencing patch 1 at https://support.esri.com/en-us/patches-updates/2024/arcgis-server-11-1-arcgis-pipeline-referencing-arcgis-roads-and-highways-patch-1

That's correct, the event editing tools in Pro only work with a service with the linear referencing and version management (branch versioning) capabilities enabled. Nathan ArcGIS Pipeline Referencing team

Hi Schalk, I'd recommend opening up a support case with Esri Technical Support on this. They should be able to help you troubleshoot why the error is appearing. Nathan ArcGIS Roads and Highways team

@SteveCole Definitely take a look at the video, the LRS Identify and Search are highlighted in the Experience Builder section. We'll also have another blog post next month going more in depth on the widgets, how they can be configured, and how they can be leveraged together with other Experience Builder widgets to build apps for specific use within your organization.

Hi Patrick, It sounds like you're following the steps outlined in the configure, load data, and publish section of the product documentation for a combined APR-UN deployment correctly (https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/production/location-referencing-pipelines/manage-pipeline-referencing-and-a-utility-network-together.htm#ESRI_SECTION1_A9F4EF212F1F4686A5A3FFA4EC426AD8). If you look at step 7 and the note below it, the Append Routes tool will not append a centerline for any route being loaded when a Utility Network is configured with the LRS. Instead the tool will associate the newly loaded route(s) with existing centerlines already present in the pipeline line feature class. Based on the tool never making it past 0%, it seems like there could be issues with validating the data or making it past the initial data integrity checks that are part of the tool. I'd recommend opening up a support case with Esri technical support to investigate further. Nathan ArcGIS Pipeline Referencing team

Enclosed is the latest version of the white paper outlining the steps to migrate a Roads and Highways LRS geodatabase from ArcMap to ArcGIS Pro 3.3. There are no major changes between the 3.2 version of the white paper, however, there have been updates to the python scripts to support migration. If you've previously downloaded the scripts, we'd recommend downloading the latest versions.

Hi @AlisonWieckowicz, if you want to see if Conflict Prevention is enabled (as well as viewing other LRS properties), you can run an arcpy describe operation on the LRS dataset (the steps to complete this are located here https://pro.arcgis.com/en/pro-app/latest/help/production/roads-highways/lrs-data-model.htm#ESRI_SECTION1_29DE9DC8DCE643CDA24B2498C4A88BB1). You can also ensure Conflict Prevention is enabled by changing the Conflict Prevention parameter in the Modify LRS tool to "Enabled". Nathan ArcGIS Roads and Highways team

You can follow that process. As long as by the end of the 9th step in the document you have the data into a feature dataset, you shouldn't see any issues.

Hi Ali, The option to Move to Feature Dataset predates Roads and Highways users beginning to move to Pro. You can use the approach from step 6 (we'd recommend doing a drag and drop within the catalog window in Pro) or using the GP tool/python script in step 9. As long as your Roads and Highways managed feature classes end up in a feature dataset by the end of step 9, you shouldn't have any issue in the subsequent steps in the migration process. Hi Shlesha, UPDM is a data model for gas and hazardous liquids. UN is a product capability for spatial data modeling of utility data including gas and hazardous liquids. The Utility and Pipeline Data Model is a moderately normalized template data model that is configured out of the box to work with ArcGIS Pipeline Referencing (APR) and the Utility Network (UN) to maintain gas and hazardous liquids. I'd recommend looking at these additional resources to learn more https://community.esri.com/t5/gas-and-pipeline-blog/utility-and-pipeline-data-model-2023-is-released/ba-p/1351728 and https://arcg.is/0995Pr0. The Utility Network is a spatial data management product designed to manage utility data from organizations any all scales. It provides connectivity based capabilities for all the major utility types (gas, electric, water, telco). See https://www.esri.com/en-us/arcgis/products/arcgis-utility-network/overview for more information. Nathan ArcGIS Pipeline Referencing team
