Hi all, Long-time GIS user, but first-time water resources/H&H workflow question. I’m working on a project where consultants are developing separate HEC-RAS models for different drainage basins in our city, each producing flood surface results for various design storm events. Once all the modeling is completed, there’s a desire to generate a single multidimensional .crf layer of water surface elevations that represents the combined results of all models. The end goal is to create a smooth, time-enabled flood animation/analysis layer for our ArcGIS ecosystem. I understand that consultants can export individual water surface .tif rasters for each model timestep, but this results in a very large number of files to manage, and I’d like to avoid unnecessary raster wrangling if possible. My main questions: Is it possible for ArcGIS Pro to import native HEC-RAS output results (e.g., the RAS Mapper results folder or the simulation *.hdf file) directly, without requiring hundreds of exported TIFFs? If so, what is the best workflow to convert those native HEC-RAS outputs into a single multidimensional .crf suitable for time-enabled visualization and analysis? Are there best practices or considerations when combining outputs from multiple, separate HEC-RAS models into one coherent time-enabled raster layer? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hello. I'm new to the Emergency Management Operations Solution. It looks very powerful. Could someone explain how the industry at large handles "resetting" this solution between events but still retain data? For some events, it might not be necessary to retain the data and layers could just be wiped, but for large scale things, data might be needed for later documentation processes (i.e. FEMA). I would hope the answer is not to deploy the solution for each event that comes, as I know we will spend significant time configuring the solution for our needs. Thanks.

Hello. I hope I have a simple question. Will the new Telecom utility network domain (coming later in 2026) be able to create fiber splicing diagrams? We have seen demos and documentation concerning the new domain's data management and signal tracing tools which is wonderful, but have not seen anything yet if splicing diagrams will be able to be created out of the system. This is key functionality we are looking for. If this functionality exists, is there is some kind of documentation or marketing material showing this? Thanks!

Agree. I think exp. builder needs to support typical test->dev->prod lifecycles. It is so annoying to have to work on a live experience with new enhancement requests. Seems like this is something that is very achievable as Story Maps has had this functionality for some time now.

Hello, I try to check on this each year at the UC but unfortunatly wasn't able to attend this year. Does ArcGIS Knowledge support 3D yet? Thanks.

Hello. I have watched several sessions as part of the virtual UC, and the speakers said the slides would be posted after the event, which it is now. When will slides be posted? Thanks.

@MeganBanaski1, I wanted to ping this post again 3 years later. Is this still the case? Does Knowledge support 3D yet?

Hello @AyanPalit . As suggested I have posted new idea Support for Cross-LRS Event Referencing as Events and True Real-World Geometry . It is funcationality that builds upon the idea of this post. Thanks.

Building on the idea proposed in Incorporate Perpendicular Offsets of Events into LRS data model , I’d like to suggest a complementary and expanded enhancement: It would be extremely valuable if events from one LRS could be referenced on another LRS while preserving real-world spatial positioning rather than relying solely on centerline linear referencing. Use Case: In my organization, we manage: One LRS for street centerlines Another LRS for sidewalks While these networks are maintained separately and must be visualized in their true real-world geospatial positions (e.g., not collapsed onto the centerline), they are functionally and spatially related. We need: The ability to reference sidewalk events (e.g., missing sections, repairs) as events on the street centerline LRS to determine which streets have sidewalks and on which sides. Conversely, to reference street features as events on the sidewalk LRS to better understand sidewalk context, maintenance zones, and proximity relationships. This would support: Asset management systems needing real-world (not centerline-collapsed) displays, Operational analysis (e.g., sidewalk completeness studies), And field verification tools that rely on intuitive real-world positioning. Proposed Enhancements: Allow events from one LRS to be located and referenced on another LRS (e.g., via cross-LRS calibration). Support perpendicular offset-based geometry in event layer configuration (from linked LRS routes). Retain true geospatial representation of both networks for visualization and spatial analysis. Summary of Benefits: Supports complex networks like sidewalks, medians, trails, and shoulders that relate to but are not co-located with road centerlines. Enables smarter asset management and relationships Aligns with modern GIS practices emphasizing real-world geometry Thank you for considering.

It would also be very helpful for one LRS to be an event on another LRS. For example, I have a LRS for my street centerline but also a LRS for my sidewalks. However, sidewalks are events to the street centerline, etc.

Hello all. We are a City (not DOT). We have many transportation assets where we need to retain geometry for asset management reasons. For example, I have a point representing a sign where it is actually located in space or a sidewalk along the side of a road in our GIS. We would love to be able to have these assets as events in R&H or somehow be recognized in R&H so that we can use the reporting and dynamic segmentation power of the platform. These assets must stay where they are in the GIS and not be merged onto the centerline. Is this possible, and if so, how? This is a huge need. How are others doing this? Thanks.
