Gavin, I looked at the function, my only guess is the editor workspace is getting nulled out. The variable is repopulated on start editing. Could you start a fresh arcmap, start editing and see if it works, then stop and start editing and does it fail then? IDatabaseConnectionInfo databaseConnectionInfo = editor.EditWorkspace as IDatabaseConnectionInfo; if (databaseConnectionInfo != null) return databaseConnectionInfo.ConnectedUser; else return String.Empty;

It looks like you are working with the editor map, which is pointing to the published feature service. You will need to make a connection to the database to adjust the schema.

I reviewed the sample data, the v6 data does have the condition ID field as an autonumber, which ArcMap will treat as ObjectID. The import access table tool that we include handles this issue for you. If you encounter this in and cannot use this tool in ArcGIS Pro, the simplest option is to open the table in Access, add a new number column using Design View and Copy and Paste the values from the Autonumber field into it.
