Some questions to help clarify the issue: 1. What error do you get? 2. In the Field Calculator, did you select the VBScript Parser or the Python Parser? 3. Also, which version of ArcGIS are you using? Chris Donohue, GISP

Versioning is only available in an enterprise geodatabase/ArcSDE. Important Caution - if you are using File and/or Personal Geodatabases, be very careful to ensure that only one person is in one at a time. If multiple people tap into the same File or Personal Geodatabase at the same time, it often will become corrupted. This is surprisingly easy to do. Clear communication is key. Note that their is no automated, easy way to see if a File or Personal Geodatabase is in use. Though there are some suggestions: Is there any "Geodatabase in use" checking software out there? There's several ways this could be done, depending upon your data. Here's two easy ways: 1. Instead of digitizing new point features on top of the existing ones, why not make a copy of the existing GPS point features and keep the ones you need. You could attribute them, then delete the unattributed ones when you are done to eliminate any unneeded ones. 2. Another approach would be to create a table of the new points and their attributes, add a field to it with the matching ID of the GPS point, then do a Spatial Join, then export as a new feature class only the matching records. ArcGIS Help 10.1 If you forsee editing quite a bit, it may also help to take some classes, as some aspects can get quite complex. One way to get around this may be to break your model into 2 models, then join them using a third model. This will prevent the Iterator from unnecessarily running all the parts before the iterator again and again. Model 1 - does the part before the Iterator. Model 2 -is the iteration and what comes after. Model 3 - joins the two. Build the first two models, then drag them from your toolbox into your Model 3 edit. Add a Precondition to Model 2 to trigger when Model 1 is done with the final process. Integrating a Model within a Model ArcGIS Help 10.1 Preconditions ArcGIS Help 10.1 Chris Donohue, GISP

There is an older GeoNet thread where users expressed similar issues with not finding the tool in ArcHydro: Stream Order (Strahler) and Flow Direction The answer apparently is that it can be found at: Zichuan Ye (1) to to assign river order, you can use Assign River Order tool of ArcHydroToolbox (Toolboxes\System Toolboxes\Arc Hydro Tools.tbx\Attribute Tools). Based on what is posted in the thread, it appears that one has to run it from the Toolbox directly. It is not on the ArcHydro pulldowns. (I don't have ArcHydro to check). Chris Donohue, GISP

Just an idea - while both images have the same number of rows and columns, the two images cell-size are wildly different, so I suspect a scaling factor would need to be applied somehow. Not sure on the specifics of how to implement that, however... Chris Donohue, GISP

Thanks for posting that Micah. It has possibilities. It looks like this could be handy not just as a standalone script tool but as a check process to build into modelbuilder (or a python equivalent) prior to it trying to process datasets so as to head off any conflicts. Chris Donohue, GISP
