I would really like to be able to use the explorer app for editing as well as map viewing. I can see there is planed development for that here http://doc.arcgis.com/en/explorer/#sneakPeek but is there any place to see some sort of timeline or order in which features planned to be released? I know that collector is available for editing, but I don't want our field guys to have to jump around between different apps do what they want/need to do. Specifically I am interested in the editing and support for related tables on the ipad. And when you talk about support for related tables does that including editing of related tables? Thanks, Tom

Will the existing explorer for ArcGIS app work with the new release of iOS8? Has there been any testing on the beta releases yet?

Thanks Brent, that explanation helps a lot. Currently our IT Staff is blocking Safari on the ipads we are testing out. So when we upgraded to the new version we were clicking on the image in the popup and nothing was happening. Now at least I have the reasoning behind it. Tom

You seem to be talking about Internet Explorer for Windows. The Explorer for ArcGIS is an iPad App. Similar name very confusing.

Explorer for ArcGIS We have been testing using maps in the field using this app and ArcGIS online for the last Month. It is set up to display an image in the pop-up media section on ArcGIS Online. The image comes up fine and without issue in the pop-up, but when we first started using the app you could click on it and it would open within the explorer application full screen making it much easier to read. In one of the recent updates it started jumping out and opening in Safari or at lease trying to. On our test iPads we have blocked Safari, so the image doesn't open and is unable to make it any larger. I am trying to figure out if this functionality was removed or if maybe I can change something to get it back to open in Explorer for AcrGIS? Thanks for your help. Tom Furcron

I am looking for a way to get the job details, note, attachments, ect.... of a job by clicking on the AOI. I found can join the back to the AOI to get most things, and I can see the file name of the attachment, but I am not sure how to actually get the attachment to come up. It is stored in the database so how can I link to it from Arc Desktop or from a webmap? Tom

Brent, Which update are you talking about from Apple? We have had issues with 7.1.2 (I think came out in June 2014) and the previous 7.1.1. Thanks, Tom

@Explorer App Problems Signing In: We have been using the Explorer App on an iPad Air. We have see a few instances over the past couple of weeks were it will just not finish Signing In, it just keeps spinning. It was previously logged in and try's to login again automatically. So I know the password is correct. Is this happening to anyone else? Or is it a know issue? Tom

We are actually in the process of testing that now. We are using Maas360 as our MDM, and the ESRI Explorer app for iOS. So far I haven't had any issues with using the MDM and explorer together. Tom

I may just be missing something, but is there a way once you have a report set up to have it email to a user at a set frequency?

I have set up a in workflow manager version 10.1, to get hold notifications each time a job is put on hold. But I am struggling to figure out how to include the comments of that hold with the notification email. Has anyone else done something similar? I have seen threads about not being able to do this with related table which the jtx_Job_holds table I assume is, but it is able to pull the hold number. any help is greatly appreciated!! Below is what I have so far. <html> <head> <title>Hold [HOLD]</title> </head> <body> Hold [HOLD] added by [SYS:CUR_LOGIN] to Job [JOB:ID] Work Order # [JOB: DESCRIPTION] [JOB:NOTES] [HOLD_COMMENTS] (this is where I would like to have the comments from the holds table) </body> </html>

Kelly, The link you provided is now disabled (http://help.arcgis.com/en/webapi/jav...p_history.html), I found the samples are on the new webpage, but I can't find the one you were linking to. Can you point me in the right direction? Thanks!! Tom

I had a similar issue, if you contact customer service they can probably help. I think they had to do something to release the license from one server to allow it to active on another. Good luck! Tom
